Paul McCartney's "GOT BACK" tour, which was his first live tour during the COVID-19 pandemic, was successfully completed until the final show in New Jersey on June 16th. The final day of the tour took place just two days before Paul's 80th birthday, and was held in a celebratory mood befitting the final day. As a result, a heartwarming scene was seen in which the audience naturally sang "Happy Birthday" in chorus before "I've Just Seen a Face". And since it was a live performance in New Jersey, the luxurious guests Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi, two famous musicians from the area, rushed to the venue, which has become a hot topic all over the world. Among them, Springsteen. He appeared at the end of the live performance, and Paul and the band played "Glory Days" with Springsteen. Instead of performing Paul's songs, they performed Springsteen's songs, which was a nice touch, since it was New Jersey. In addition, the horn section also joined the performance, and the fully rehearsed performance was a magnificent performance. This time, Bruce repays the favor by playing a Beatles number, but the song they play is "I Wanna Be Your Man." Moreover, Springsteen even plays a guitar solo after being dumped by Rusty Anderson. Just as they were about to sing "Birthday" as usual during the encore, Jon Bon Jovi appears with a voice saying "It's your birthday." The band joins in to play "Happy Birthday" with him. It's a shame that Bon Jovi didn't sing the song together, but only celebrated Paul's birthday and retreated. Instead, Springsteen appears again in the finale of "The End," and the four of them join in on a guitar battle, which is also a development unique to the final day. With the number of guitarists increasing from the usual three to four, the performance was naturally extended to match the guitar battle. Naturally, audience videos appeared at the latest stage of this hot topic. This work is a coupling of two types of footage from completely different angles from those. The main footage recorded across two discs was shot from the stands to the left of the stage, and the position was perfect. Even when Paul moved to the piano, it was captured without being cut off, and the entire stage was still captured. And yet the angle was not too far away, so you could get a glimpse of Paul's expression on stage, which was a big plus. Of course, the expressions of the two guests who came from New Jersey were also perfect. Overall, this is a very good audience video, but I am concerned about the blackout editing that was done to hide the out-of-focus and blurring that occurs in some scenes. In particular, the opening song "Can't Buy Me Love" was not good because more than half of the performance scene was completely black. This was patched in with another video from the same day, which eliminated the major flaw in the opening and made it much easier to watch. Furthermore, in the second half (Disc 2), the flak-out parts of "Fuh You," "Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!," "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da," "Glory Days," "I Wanna Be Your Man," and "Let It Be" were corrected, and more close-up footage was incorporated, greatly improving the quality of the video work. The other video included in Disc 3 was released as a digest (highlights), and as the name suggests, half of the songs are in pieces. In addition, the scene where the New Jersey guest appears is dramatically cut (or maybe not filmed). Still, the angle captured from directly in front of the arena is amazingly powerful, and more than makes up for the incomplete recording. In particular, the scene in "I've Just..." where the screen is filled with "Happy Birthday" messages held up by the audience is moving. In addition, the horn trio, who are active throughout the repertoire, can be seen, making this an excellent video that complements the main video. On the contrary, the weakness of audience videos is that if you only show Paul, it becomes monotonous and easy to get bored. However, these two types are both excellent shots that you can enjoy from angles that you will never tire of. The latest live video gives you a glimpse of Paul's literally happy flying birthday show!
