This work includes a number of TV programs that were broadcast on the ground at the time. This is a collection of professional shots that report on Paul's visit to Japan and feature various corners covering 18 types and 64 minutes. Among the 18 types, there are small news stories of about 1 minute, exclusive coverage and interviews, and in-depth reports. This work is arranged roughly in chronological order and organized into four sections. Let's introduce them individually. [February 28, 1990: Narita Airport Arrival Report (10 types, approximately 20 minutes)] The first thing that appears is the first report of the century's arrival in Japan. Contains 10 breaking news sections (4 news programs from the night of the day and 6 wide shows the next morning) reporting on Paul's arrival at Narita Airport. Each one is short since it is breaking news, but what is surprising is the quality. Of course, there are 18 types, so there are some differences in quality, but all of them were edited from the best masters recorded by domestic recording enthusiasts. Although it has analog image quality, the glossy screen with no dubbing marks or tracking noise is beautiful even to modern digital eyes. And the sense of the times depicted with that quality is especially strong. The scene at the airport where 1,000 fans panicked was also intense, and commentators were excited just by saying, ``Paul passed through customs!'', and there were many reports related to the Stones' departure from Japan. In every moment, “February 1990,” when Western music rock became the center of Japan, comes to mind. Moreover, in between, there was news about orphans left behind in China, Hoki Toku○ was arrested, phone numbers in Tokyo were mixed with 9 and 10 digits, and 1 dollar was 148.52 yen. ……. The time span of 30 years jumps all at once. [March 1, 1990: Live broadcast of press conference (1st type, approximately 13 minutes)] What follows is one of the highlights of this work. This is a news program featuring a press conference held on March 1st, the day after the aircraft arrived. On the evening news of a certain commercial broadcast station, ``Matchbox'' was played prior to the concert and the press conference was broadcast. The key point here is the "live broadcast" feeling. Actually, there was another guest in the studio: Vera Czaslavska, but during the greeting, when Paul was about to start playing (the stage was MZA Ariake), he said, ``Thank you, everyone, please turn your screen. Look, Paul has come out..." he quickly finishes. The program anchor, Ando Yu○, also seems to be a fan of Paul's, and his tone is excited, and he seems a little distracted when reporting other news. Even the press conference doesn't start very well, and then we get into commercials, but when we get back to the show, it's already started and I can't think of any questions about a Beatles reunion... Just raw. The atmosphere in the archipelago that ``Paul is in Japan for the first time in 24 years'' is heartwarming. [March 3-8, 1990: Concert report (5 types, approximately 12 minutes)] The third section is the important concert report. There are two types of programs covering the first day's performance (March 3rd and press conference) and two types of programs covering the second day (March 5th). In addition, there is one program featuring backstage anecdotes from the third day... a total of five programs. The key points here are the valuable professional shots of "Figure Of Eight" and "Put It There," as well as various celebrities. There were no comments, but Ma○shi Tashiro was in the studio, and Mr. Nashimoto mentioned, ``Even young people can understand (Paul's music),'' and Saki Ariga, who used to be a station announcer, said, ``It's pretty simple and nice.'' "It was a surprise for everyone to suddenly perform live at a press conference," he said (though as mentioned in the live broadcast, the live performance was not a surprise). Furthermore, in the Tokyo Dome on-site report, Piko Izumi, Nori P, Yu○ Ando, Shige Mizutani, and Toko Matsushima, who said they saw the Beatles, also appeared. For some reason, all of them are women, and each of them talks about their feelings for Paul. [March 7th + 9th, 1990: Close-up coverage (2 types, approximately 20 minutes)] The last section is another highlight. An in-depth report by actress: Tomo Fuji○. Mr. Fuji○ is also known as a big fan of Paul, and seems to have been staying at the same hotel as Paul (for two weeks before arriving) in complete privacy. This is an exclusive interview with her, and it is a masterpiece. The psychology of fans is completely exposed, and she cries when someone talks to her through the car window, and when she meets someone face-to-face, she gets nervous, gets excited, and is at a loss for words. As expected from an actress, she does her job professionally in interviews, but without any of the so-called artificial naivety of a Genoian, she says things like, ``This is the hand Paul used to shake my hand,'' and ``I'm happy, I'm... “…” he was at a loss for words. It's really heartwarming to see how truly a fan he is. Finally, there was a news program about the couple's participation in a tree-planting event at an elementary school in Tokyo. Yu○ Ando, who appeared three times, also went around asking elementary school students, ``Do you know who Paul McCartney is?'' In the on-site report, Paul also wore an origami crane around his neck and danced with the elementary school students. This is a video that clearly shows Japan's hashagi, which was also in the news. Above is a collection of 18 types and 64 minutes of TV pro shots.
