Despite concerns about her condition, she made a spectacular comeback in Brooklyn at the end of the year. Since her February New York performance in 2024, she has been touring with both the Patti Smith Group and the Patti Smith Quartet. In April 2025, she returned to Japan for the first time in nine years as part of her latest project with the contemporary sound art collective, Soundwalk Collective. This high-quality stereo audience recording captures Patti Smith's first performance since her arrival in Japan, a live performance at the Spoleto Festival in Charleston, South Carolina, on June 3, 2025. Digitally transferred directly from the digital PCM master, the vocals are crisp and clear, with each part exceptionally well-balanced and deep, providing a clear sound quality.
