This is a live recording by Pat Metheny's special quartet, featuring a luxurious lineup of musicians. Erin Watts, who may be familiar to rock fans from her time on the Rolling Stones tour, plays many highlights. The label's own remastering has been applied to create a unique sound, and the hiss, which was quite strong in the original master, has been cut and corrected, so some people may not like it, but the bass, which tended to be a bit muffled, has been tightened and corrected to be much easier to hear. In the case of audience recordings, the intervals between songs are often cut and edited, but this recording was supplemented because Metheny's speech was captured clearly, even though it was an audience recording. Only audience noises such as "screams" and "whooshes" that are noticeable to the ears have been cut or reduced as much as possible.
