The second album after moving to Geffen, the masterpiece "Letter from Home" reached number one on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Albums chart and even won a Grammy. This is the best performance from the heyday of PMG, who were riding high on their biggest success as PMG! This is a 2-CD set that contains all the songs from the Ohio City performance from the 1989 world tour, which was held at the height of their success, and is a 2-CD set that contains a complete recording of the 2-hour-plus enthusiastic performance including the encore on a carefully mastered, high-quality stereo sound board! This tour (and of course this performance) was the first to perform live the majority of the songs from the album "Letter from Home," including "Have You Herd," which has been played many times as an important repertoire of PMG ever since, and the album title song "Letter from Home." The audience was not familiar with the songs, but the enthusiasm was amazing, which shows how popular and talented PMG was at this time. They delivered a wonderful performance that was worthy of being called the peak of their career. The songs played live for the first time were full of vitality and shone brightly like newborn babies, and above all, they were very fresh. The members of PMG seemed to be playing with some tension, and they created a wonderful long stage with a good balance of new songs and their representative songs. The set list was centered around songs from the new album "Letter from Home," and also included songs that are still popular among fans from the previous album "Still Life," such as "Minuano" and "Last Train Home," as well as "Phase Dance," "First Circle," "Are You Going With Me," and other songs. It was a powerful set list that seemed to culminate PMG's greatest hits up to that point, and the same line-up as the album "Letter from Home," Pat, Lyle Mays, Steve Rodby, Paul Watico, Armand Marsal, and Pedro Aznar, came together to deliver a perfect performance!
