This is the first performance of the Pat Metheny Group in their heyday, who moved from ECM to Geffen, established their own production company, and released the masterpieces "Still Life" and "Letter from Home" in succession, winning a Grammy and achieving worldwide success! ! At the time, Metheny was devoted to Brazilian music, but he had a disagreement with his mentor, ECM president Manfred Eicher, over the production of the album. In the end, Metheny stuck to his strong will and even changed labels to create the masterpiece album "Still Life." It was a big leap from the previous PMG sound, and was highly acclaimed, winning a Grammy, climbing the charts and achieving commercial success. Furthermore, with the album that followed, "Letter from Home," they made a further leap forward, winning a Grammy and reaching the height of their popularity. PMG's performance at the Zenith in La Villette, Paris, France on December 10, 1989 has been recorded in its entirety, including the encore, over a period of 2 to 2.5 hours, in superb high quality stereo sound, carefully mastered by the label itself. This powerful 2-disc set has arrived!
