This work was filmed at a different performance than the CD. This is a multi-camera professional shot of "January 12, 1985: Nakano Sun Plaza Performance". This video was officially released on VHS/laser disc only in Japan, but due to the fate of video at the time, it was quickly discontinued. Although it is a period-style analog shoot, the master is fresh and the quality is (of course) completely official. Let's organize the songs that can be seen with the beautiful visuals. Public Image (5 songs)・Low Life/Public Image/Annalisa/Religion/Attack This Is What You Want (5 songs)・The Order Of Death/Bad Life/1981/Tie Me To The Length Of That / This Is Not A Love Song Others (5 songs)・Metal Box: Memories・Flowers of Romance (★)・Under The House (★)・Do it yourself!!: Bodies/Anarchy in the U.K. (★) *Note: Songs marked with a “★” cannot be heard on the CD “SHIBUYA 1985”. Pro shot & sound board live is a must-see for this repertoire, but in fact, it is not only that. In between, we also record an interview with John Lydon on the Shinkansen, and this is a masterpiece. Lydon was irritated by being hit with the game-no world that was typical of Japan at the time. Although he responds on the train, unable to escape, the exchange is so ``authentic'' that it's the best. Let's write some of it down. -What is your impression of Japan? Have you eaten Japanese beef? Lydon: Ah, shabu-shabu. Yeah, that's enough. Ask me a more serious question: What do you think of Japanese music? Lydon: Is there any music in Japan? Ah, that one on TV late that night. It's not worth talking about. It's not good for pop music to go beyond imitation. that's all! - What do you think of Prince? Lydon: I don't think you should change your clothing store. What about other British musicians? Lydon: Do you know? - How do you usually spend your time? Lydon: (Interrupting the question) Morning, noon, and night, thinking about sex, drinking good tea, keeping my room tidy... Why do I have to tell you what I do every day? Yo. It has nothing to do with you! -No, it's audio... Lydon: (Interrupting further) I have only one answer: "Music." Other than that, for example, what I do, what I do on my days off, etc., that's my private life. Have you ever seen a UFO? Lydon: Stop it already. I saw the band's UFO. A few years ago. There may be aliens out there, but they escaped thanks to their heavy metal music. -About this interview Lydon: It sucked...because they asked so many stupid questions. This (interviewer) woman should have been cremated... Well, it's like this (just a part of it). Since the video is originally made in Japan, it also comes with Japanese subtitles. In any case, if you're a fan of Western music, you can tell that you're fed up with the stupidity of the Japanese media, but to see such an intense and straight-forward performance is refreshing, or perhaps even too typical. What's more, it's a must-see to see such a carefree Lydon. It's a close-up shot as it's inside a car, where you can't move, and that's when the artwork for "THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT..." comes to life, moving and approaching you with a grinning, disgusted, belligerent look. It is a super must-see interview that makes even the most valuable live scene blurry. This is a must-see out-of-print official video work packed with about 78 minutes of pro-shot live performances and frustrating interviews that are full of personality. A truly fantastic masterpiece.
