A total of over 150 live performances were performed by Ozzy Osbourne while he was with Randy Rhoads, from September 1980, when Ozzy made his solo debut, to March 1982, when Randy was lost. For fans, it can be said that all live performances now have a unique charm, but among them, the live performance on the biggest stage in particular is the one that took place on August 1, 1980 at Port Vale Football Stadium in England. They will probably be performing at the festival "Heavy Metal Holocaust" held at "Heavy Metal Holocaust". Audience Source, which recorded this live performance, was released more than 10 years ago and surprised fans greatly. After that was sold out and went out of print, this work ``HEAVY METAL HOLOCAUST'' was released in 2008 due to requests from fans for a re-release. In this work, the sound is regenerated from the master cassette, and it is an upgraded version with careful repairs and accurate pitch adjustment. The entire album is recorded with a sound that is easy on the ears without any sense of equalization, a sound image with a well-proportioned balance and a thick, ideal texture.Compared to the same sound source in the past, the clear outlook with less clouding is sure to please fans. It made me happy. It is extremely easy to listen to, which is rare for an audience recording from a festival more than 30 years ago, and the show spans about 64 minutes, from the stage introduction by MOTORHEAD's Lemmy (they were the headliners at this festival) to the closing song "Paranoid." You can thoroughly enjoy the whole scene. The setlist, which included "I Don't Know" and "Crazy Train," was standard at the time, but due to time constraints at this festival, where the headliner was handed over to MOTORHEAD, "Goodby To Romance" and "Crazy Train" were included. "No Bone Movies" is not featured. However, the band's performance and the excitement of the audience that can be heard in this work are wonderful, and Ozzy's vocals are also doing well. The many energetic plays that capture the band's momentum as they are are the best. The rhythms of Rudy Sarzo and Tommy Aldridge are lively in the heavy "Believer" and "Flying High Again," and the songs "Revelation (Mother Earth)" and "Steal Away (The Night)" give a sense of the band's full potential. The medley is exquisite. Needless to say, Randy's guitar play in those songs is amazing, and you can listen to excellent solos that are comparable to the official live "TRIBUTE". The solo that continues from "Suicide Solution" is especially clear, and the continuous BLACK SABBATH numbers of "Iron Man", "Children Of The Grave", and "Paranoid" that flow with rushing momentum are nothing short of spectacular! This work is a must-listen for fans who can experience the peak of the short Randy era without any distortion and in good quality. A definitive title that Ozzy and Randy fans will definitely want to add to their collection. Live at Port Vale Football Stadium, Stoke on Trent, UK 1st August 1981 AMAZING SOUND 1.
