"Keyboardless OZZY BAND" was born by chance in Japan in 1984. The original recording that allows you to experience that valuable full show is a new discovery. What is infused into this work is the “June 30, 1984: Nagoya City Public Hall” performance. This is the first appearance audience recording. At that time, it was his second visit to Japan as part of the "BARK AT THE MOON Tour", but during that time, Don Airey suddenly returned home after receiving the news of his mother's death. It became a 4-piece band without a keyboard. Due to such circumstances, when they came to Japan in 1984, there was a mix of 5-piece and 4-piece formations depending on the schedule. Let's look back at the schedule and check the show's position here.・June 28th: Nakano Sun Plaza ・June 29th “ULTIMATE BARKS: TOKYO 1984 (Shinjuku)”《June 29th: Don Airey Returns》 ・June 30th: Nagoya City Public Hall ←★This work★・July 2nd: Osaka Festival Hall ・July 3rd: Fukuoka Sun Palace Hall ・July 5th: Nakano Sunplaza ・July 6th “ULTIMATE BARKS: TOKYO 1984 (Nakano)” ・July 7th “JAKE BARK” There were a total of 8 performances including ``Shibuya)'', and Don left after the first 2 performances. The remaining six performances were keyboardless. Speaking of records of such valuable shows, the soundboard recording of the Nakano Sunplaza performance “ULTIMATE BARKS: TOKYO 1984” and the Miracle Man recording “JAKE BARK” are very popular, but the Nagoya of this work is much earlier than that. It was the day after Don's return and it was our first stage as a four-piece group. This work, which was vacuum-packed from such a scene, is an audience recording of a sound that is beyond precious. Although it is undeniable that the sound is thick and a little distant, the core that penetrates the atmosphere is extremely strong and the outline is sharp. You can clearly understand every word of the lyrics sung by Ozzy, and Jake E. Lee's cutting edge is also sharp. It didn't have a sloppy feel to it, and to be honest, I could have called it ``excellent'' if it wasn't for the close applause...it's such a shame! It is a type of masterpiece recording. The vivid sound depicts a rare and aggressive full show in which Jake fills in the hole left by the keyboard. Here, let's compare it with the two major classics "ULTIMATE BARKS: TOKYO 1984 (Nakano's leaked soundboard)" and "JAKE BARK (Miracleman recording)". Sabbath (2 songs), Paranoid: Iron Man/Paranoid (★) Randy Era (8 songs), Blizzard of Oz: I Don't Know/Mr. Crowley/Revelation (Mother Earth)/Steal Away (The Night) /Suicide Solution/Crazy Train (★)・Diary of a Madman: Over The Mountain (*)/Flying High Again Bark At The Moon (3 songs)・Rock 'n' Roll Rebel/Bark At The Moon/Centre Of Eternity (★) *Note: The "★" mark is a soundboard recording of the Nakano Sun Plaza performance, and the "*" mark is a song that could not be heard on the final day's "JAKE BARK". “Over The Mountain”, which was not played on the final day, and “Centre Of Eternity”, which was not recorded at Nakano Sunplaza SBD, are also firmly held, and you can fully enjoy the precious four-person ensemble. And what's more is actually between songs. It is the MC who speaks after the opening song "I Don't Know" ends. Normally, a majestic synth solo would sound in the intro of the next song "Mr. Crowley", but from this day on, Don was absent. So that the audience would not be surprised, a Japanese staff member would perform the MC in Japanese. It's all too real, so let's write it down. "Ozzy Osbourne himself has a message that he would like to convey to you, so I would like to convey it to you. As I'm sure you all know, keyboardist Don Airey's mother passed away yesterday, and I returned to London last night. In order to meet everyone's expectations, we have decided to continue the tour, so (guitar intro begins)... The sound that you can clearly hear every word is wonderful, but the content is also because it is the first day. And, as it is, it will snowball into “Mr. Crowley”, but this is also a must-listen. In the two major classics mentioned above, Jake is substituted for Don with a wonderful arpeggio solo, but this work on the first day was in tatters. The solo somehow ended in a mess, and Ozzy didn't know how to get into it either. "Mi...!? Mi..ster....Crowley," he starts singing in a frightening manner, completely off key. Once the whole band joins in, everything else is the same as usual, but the failure is very real because it's the first challenge. A four-piece Ozzy band born out of an unexpected misfortune. This is a miraculous new excavation live album that allows you to vividly enjoy the first day. Up until now, there had been only live performances by master players without any sense of lack, but as expected, that was not the case on the first day. The unfortunate situation feels real because it is in tatters, and the spirit of the four people who face it is also conveyed sincerely. First audience recording of the "June 30, 1984: Nagoya City Public Hall" performance. This is a live album from the first day when Don Airey returned to Japan due to the death of his mother and became a four-piece band. The core that penetrates the somewhat thick air is extremely strong, and the outline is sharp without feeling sparse. You can clearly understand every word of the lyrics sung by Ozzy, and Jake's sharp cutting edge is also wonderful. In front of "Mr. Crowley", the Japanese staff explains that Don has returned to Japan, and there is a guitar intro that is a big failure, and "Mi...!? Mi..ster....Crowley", which is a scary surprise. You can also enjoy extremely rare scenes unique to the first day, such as Ozzy starting to sing.
