Olivia Newton-John, a singer who left on August 8, 2022 after spreading many famous songs and moving moments all over the world, has decided to release a video collection that brings back memories of her and Japan. This work contains three Japanese programs that were broadcast between 1999 and 2006. Our shop has archived many music programs with the finest masters provided by core record enthusiasts, and this work is the latest Olivia edition. It is full of rare footage that has not been known until now, and the standard footage is a masterpiece that has been compiled with the highest quality ever. Now, let's introduce the three videos individually. 1999: THE BEE GEES Live (about 3 minutes) The first to appear is not Olivia... but THE BEE GEES. This is a multi-camera pro shot of the "Sydney performance on March 27, 1999". Since it was Australia, Olivia was also at the venue, and for her, they performed the title song that they provided for the movie "Grease". In the MC, he clearly declared, "I'm singing for Olivia, who appeared in the film," and famous scenes from the film appeared one after another on the screen at the venue, and Olivia's surprised appearance in the audience was also shown. In fact, "Grease" is not a standard song for THE BEE GEES, and it is a rare song that they have only played a few times. Despite that, it was a big treat that was well prepared. I think it is the most famous video in this work, but this work is the Japanese broadcast version complete with MC and fully translated Japanese subtitles. You can enjoy it with the highest quality ever, which is on a different level from the video uploaded on a certain video site. 2003: Mini corner of the morning wide (about 4 and a half minutes) Next appears a Japanese program that coincided with the 2003 Japan tour. It is the morning wide show "Mezamashi TV." It is treated as one of the topics, but it reports on their first visit to Japan in 25 years four times (2 times of arrival at the airport / press conference with their daughter Chloe Rose / Nagoya performance report). The touching on the Iraq War that broke out just before her visit to Japan is a strong sense of the times, but the highlight of the show is the press conference. Chloe, who accompanied the band as a guest singer, is asked "Who influenced you?" and her response is amusing. The questioner clearly wants her to say "My mother," but she completely ignores it. She responds, "I admire Christina Aguilera," which sounds like a 17-year-old from 2003, but she is surprised when she continues with "Tom Petty, PINK FLOYD, LED ZEPPELIN..." She finishes her answer with "And oldies," but Olivia immediately laughs, saying, "That's me!" There will also be a professional shot of "Xanadu" from the Nagoya performance, the first day of the tour. The new masterpiece "NAGOYA 2003" will also be released, and you can witness the scene (albeit briefly). 2006: Hanamaru Market Special (about 28 minutes)The third video is the highlight of this film. It is the now defunct information program "Hanamaru Market" that she appeared on "February 28, 2006" to coincide with her Japan tour. If you ask what's the highlight, it's its length. She was the main guest of the day, and a special live appearance of nearly 30 minutes was arranged. What's more, it's amazing that she didn't sing a single song for that length of time. She was supposed to be appearing to promote her Japan tour, but there was no music-related topic. In the program's famous "This Morning's Meal," she introduces her favorite sweets, "Oats and Fruit with Soy Milk," and in the "Hanamaru Album" corner, she talks about her private life, including her old kimono look, her home garden, her doting daughter, bonsai, her farm, etc. Although the PVs for the movies "Grease" and "Physical" are long for their atmosphere, the talk is almost entirely as "Celebrity: Olivia Newton-John." With other artists, I might have thought, "Tell me a bit about music," but this work is really good. Olivia's appearance of having fun from beginning to end is heartwarming, and her personality is warm. This is a great feature that warms the heart with the friendly exchange between Kumiko Okae, who passed away from COVID-19, and Olivia. The film ends with a TV commercial announcing her visit to Japan in 2006. There are only a few live videos, but please enjoy them to the fullest with other music titles. This work is not like that, it is filled with "personality" that cannot be seen on records or on stage. In the future, official and unofficial archives may be developed, but Japanese programs like this one will be overlooked. "The real Olivia" that touches the heart now. A collection of extremely rare videos that convey Olivia's warm personality has been released, a collection of Japanese programs to coincide with her 2003/2006 Japan tours, and "Hanamaru Market," where she appeared live for about 30 minutes, is a must-see.
