The Knebworth performance, a symbol not only of 1996 but of Oasis' entire career, took place in August 1996. Just 11 days after their historic concert in front of tens of thousands of people, another historic concert is being held. That was his appearance on Unplugged, which is included in this work. Moreover, this day was unusual in that Liam complained of a sore throat and Noel took the vocals for all songs. In fact, only the Oasis members except Liam were on stage, and Liam reportedly was watching from the audience and heckled him. Now, let's start with the CD part. Disc 1 uses broadcast sound sources. In addition to the broadcast sound source, Disc 2 has been edited with leaked sound sources, and is the first complete recording, including the gaps between songs, of Unplugged, which until now only existed in incomplete versions. Since all previously released releases use broadcast sound sources without exception, cuts were included in the editing, as is the case with broadcasts. This work fills in the holes in the cut by using the newly appeared sound accompanying the crane camera, which will be described later, in the editing, and for the first time, from the opening announcement to the ending announcement, "HELLO" which was played twice. It is a complete recording, including both takes. After listening to the CD, cheers erupted, and Oasis took the stage to be introduced by an emcee called Ladies and Gentlemen. As usual, it starts with "HELLO", but this "HELLO" is Take 1, which was cut off from the broadcast and could not be heard until now, and is the first to appear this time. Many Oasis enthusiasts have probably listened to the unplugged sound source over and over again, and many of them even remember the MC. And I think such people will be surprised by this CD. When compared to the complete version released for the first time, it is clear that the gaps between the songs have been cut and that almost all of the songs have been packed together. Of course, it's only between songs, but there are various elements that convey the atmosphere of the scene, such as interactions with the audience, tuning, and sample sounds. Above all, the spacing between songs conveys a sense of realism. Noel states that this is the last song and the concert ends with "WONDERWALL". However, after the performance, the host came out and asked the audience to remain seated. There was a problem with the first "HELLO", so they will play the same song again. And the concert truly ended with the second “HELLO” of the day. For example, ``NEW'' from Paul McCartney's Budokan performance in 2015 was played twice because there was a performance error, and the two takes were edited and aired. So, what about this “HELLO”? The first take 1 is not used at all, take 2 is used as is, and it is inserted into the opening number position at the time of broadcast. The footage is recorded on two DVDs. The first DVD consists of the broadcast version edited together. As you know, the actual broadcast was incomplete as two songs, "LISTEN UP" and "WHATEVER", were cut. After that, only one song, ``LISTEN UP'', was officially released, and ``WHATEVER'' was later aired independently. This work has been edited so that you can see them unplugged. Since it is a professional shot video, it is natural that multiple cameras are used to capture the day's events in an attractive manner, making it an irresistible video work for Oasis fans. The second DVD contains footage of a crane camera that appears for the first time, taking a bird's-eye view of the venue. Although it was shot with a single camera, due to the nature of the crane camera, it moved freely around the venue, making the footage so timeless that you wouldn't even notice it was shot with one camera. What is noteworthy is that since this is a leaked video, it is unique in that it is uncut throughout the concert. The opening ceremony's announcement by the host, take 1 of "HELLO," the inter-song intervals that were all cut out during the broadcast, the announcement asking people to sit down after "WONDERWALL," and the announcement after the end, the scene of the venue on that day that can only be seen in the leaked footage. All are recorded uncut. If you want to enjoy it normally, DVD 1 would be better, but this DVD 2, which is appearing for the first time and fills that gap, is also a must-see for enthusiasts. The CD is the first complete version of Oasis' unplugged recording, which was recorded on August 23, 1996, 11 days after Knebworth, and includes two takes of "HELLO". The first DVD contains the broadcast version, and the second DVD contains the leaked crane and camera that appear for the first time. As Oasis' definitive unplugged album, it is a sound and video set that achieves overwhelming quality and richness of content, far superior to the previously released editions. CD1 contains the broadcast version CD2 is the first complete collection of all songs DVD1 is the broadcast version with the highest image quality ever DVD2 is the complete version with the first crane camera OASIS 1996 UNPLUGGED CD+DVD ROYAL FESTIVAL HALL, LONDON U.K. August 23, 1996 AUDIO DISC ONE BROADCAST VERSION 01.
