Oasis's performance in 2004, when there was little activity, is said to be a warm-up gig held at a venue called the Lighthouse (lol) before appearing at Glastonbury Festival in the same year. This is an excellent sound source that has been known for a long time as a mix of in-ear sound source and audience recording, and has recently been released as "GLASTONBURY 2004 WARM UP GIG" from the Supersonic label and has been well received. On this day, Taper recorded not only the gig but also the sound check. Given that 2004 was a transition period in Oasis' career in the 2000s, the content is surprisingly interesting. However, since this was recorded as a "dry practice" for earphone recording, reception may be interrupted in some places or may be affected by noise. For example, in the first track "Testing 1...2" most of the Oasis members are absent, so you may want to skip that part. The next track is ``Lyla [Jam]'', and while members other than Liam appear on stage and play their instruments, Noel sings out a group of new songs that were unreleased (and in some cases unrecorded) at the time. The playing scene is captured for nearly 20 minutes. Even in the meantime, reception noise occurs for a long time after 15 minutes, which is why "METAL MACHINE MUSIC" turns into a deep blue state, so I think you can skip this as well. However, it was a sound check for a temporary gig, so during the "Lyla [Jam]" part, not only the same song but also the phrase "Turn Up The Sun" appeared, and the draft of the new song group that was being worked on was revealed. It's always interesting to listen to the parts where you can peek out. It is frustrating that the recording state of the new songs “A Bell Will Ring” and “The Meaning Of Soul”, which were also performed at the actual gig, is fragmentary, but the performance is highly complete. And although this is still a fragment, there is a scene where Noel plays "The Importance Of Being Idle", and it is a valuable sound source that gives us a glimpse of 2004, the eve of the birth of "DON'T BELIVE THE TRUTH". Probably. Although it is a sound source that lacks recording stability in this way, since it is an ear monitor, it is easy to listen to scenes where the performance is captured without disturbance due to the sound board tick. Above all, there is no doubt that it is a valuable material that supplements the gig performance "GLASTONBURY 2004 WARM UP GIG". It certainly feels like a typical sound source for enthusiasts in total, but please try this title. Soundcheck at Lighthouse, Poole, Dorset, UK 23rd June 2004 IEM (50.46) 01. Testing 1...2 02.
