2001 was a peaceful transitional period for Oasis. There was no tour to promote the album that year, and instead, two planned tours were realized. In the first half of the year, the Brotherhood tour was held in the United States in collaboration with The Black Crowes. The release of "CHICAGO 2001 DAT MASTER" to a superb audience is still fresh in our memory. In addition, after a one-off visit to Japan at Fuji Rock ("FUJI ROCK 2001 DAT MASTER" is also on sale now), the second half of the year saw the "10 YEARS OF NOISE AND CONFUSION" tour in their home country of the UK. What was groundbreaking about this short tour was that it was limited to theater class, as if Oasis, who would become a stadium rock band the following year, were returning to their roots. Therefore, it was extremely difficult to get tickets, but fortunately, the gig at the Barrowlands in Glasgow on October 13th was filmed and broadcast on television in both the US and the UK. This made it easy to get a glimpse of the 10th anniversary gig, and since the sound was from a stereo soundboard, many CDs were released. Of course, the video was also widely available at the time, but unfortunately, just before DVD recording became popular, it was distributed in an analog recording (=VHS) version. In addition, there was a logo on the screen in each broadcast in the UK and the US, and the screen size was different from today, so there are versions that have been uploaded without the inconsistency, such as those seen on YouTube. In that respect, the version released this time is based on the version rebroadcast in the UK in 2014, and the image quality is at a superb level that is incomparable to the 2001 broadcast versions. Furthermore, including the screen size, we can say with confidence that this is the only version that can be enjoyed without any problems on today's digital and large screen TVs. The two pre-release songs and "Live Forever" that were originally cut are unavoidable, but the fact that this is a short version with a total of six songs cut from the 2001 broadcast, including "Half The World Away" sung by Noel, is a flaw, but the clarity of the image quality is still intense. The quality is so high that it could be officially released as is. As expected, on YouTube, you can see a full-length version based on this version, with the missing songs supplemented with the 2001 broadcast, but the difference in image quality is unavoidable, and it is painful that the image quality has dropped to the 2014 version at the stage of uploading. After all, unlike the compensation of the sound source, in the case of video, if the image quality is different, it will inevitably cause a sense of incongruity, so this time we decided to release the latest rebroadcast version in the best quality. After all, the image quality is the best, so the peaceful atmosphere of the precious "10 YEARS OF NOISE AND CONFUSION" hall tour is transmitted so realistically. Noel, in particular, seems to be enjoying his first concert in a long time, and you can see this from the way he actively gets the audience to sing along when it's his own song. Liam is also in very good shape, and he sings early songs such as "Fade Away" and "Slide Away," which are back in his repertoire after a long time, very well. On the 2001 tour, when Liam was not in good shape, the quality of these songs dropped drastically, so his free-flowing singing here stands out. What is particularly noteworthy about this live video is not only that it captures a precious short tour, but also that the angles and cuts are full of musical sense. When it comes to the guitar solo, it's natural to get a close-up of Noel's hands and guitar neck, and even guest Johnny Marr captures the important scenes. To top it off, he even captured Alan's bass drum pedal. The image quality is so clear that it's more than enough, even if you take into account that it's a short version. Enjoy the live footage of Oasis's gentle transitional period in 2001 in the best quality. Barrowlands, Glasgow, Scotland 13th October 2001 PRO-SHOT 1. Fuckin' In The Bushes 2. Go Let It Out 3.
