A luxurious double feature of the legendary stereo soundboard recordings of Oasis at the height of their power in 1996! Another Oasis 1996 superb stereo soundboard recording released at the same time as "BIBLICAL CARDIFF 1996 1ST NIGHT: 2025 REMASTER & REMIX" is the first appearance soundboard recording of the Dublin performance on March 23rd, five days after Cardiff! This Dublin performance was held for two days, the second of which was broadcast on Irish FM radio at the time, but despite the overwhelming live performance described below, this Dublin performance has been a difficult one, in contrast to Cardiff, which is familiar to us. First, the live release of this broadcast was a CD called "LIVE AT THE DUBLIN POINT '96" released by the label Smokin' Cactus, but it was not available in Japan. Meanwhile, a European Oasis bootleg book published around 1997 praised it as a "top-notch performance," and Japanese enthusiasts wondered how they could hear it. After all, more than five years later, thanks to the copy of the same work "going supernova" released by Pablo Records, Dublin 1996 finally penetrated Japanese enthusiasts, and it was considered a masterpiece because it recorded the culminating Oasis performance on a soundboard. However, both of those two titles already released had the fatal flaw of being mono soundboard sources. Moreover, the two mono titles had two songs, "The Swamp Song" and "Shakermaker," cut, and the intervals between the songs were also cut and edited to be shorter. It was a very short sound source. This Dublin performance was later recorded on "SUPERNOVA" released by MOONCHILD in 2020, but since it was a copy from the previous mono sound source, the cut situation remained unchanged, and it can only be said that it was unfortunate. Thus, the word "unfortunate" applies to Dublin in 1996 in both distribution and sound source, but in fact, a genuine stereo FM sound board sound source exists separately! And it's not just stereo! First of all, "The Swamp Song", which was cut from the mono version, is properly recorded here! (Note that "Shakermaker" was not broadcast in the stereo broadcast version either.) Moreover, the intervals between songs are also longer than the mono version, and for example, in the scene before the start of "Wonderwall", you can see that Noel is strumming a phrase from David Bowie's "Ziggy Stardust". This scene was cut from the previously released mono version, so it was a production that could not be heard. This stereo FM sound board sound source was once only available among traders, but it is a valuable sound source that has never been released on CD until now. This is the first ever release! Although it is such an important stereo source, while it has a wall-of-sound mix that is typical of Oasis, it is a bit too excessive, and above all, the vocals are far away and the drums tend to be buried. It is also true that the sound was rough, even though it was a stereo FM source. The situation was even worse in the previously released titles that had been downgraded to mono. Therefore, like Cardiff, we carried out a detailed restoration based on the original stereo soundboard source! First of all, the pitch was unstable at the time of the original source, so the pitch was thoroughly corrected. Next, the latest AI technology was used to break it down into 8 tracks: snare, toms, cymbals, kick drum, bass, guitar, vocals, and audience cheers. Each track was remastered and then mixed down. This has brushed up the band sound to a balanced sound while maintaining the original wall-of-sound texture! In addition, there were some sound fluctuations, skips, and noise at the time of mastering, but these were also eliminated one by one by hand to the extent possible! These meticulous efforts not only brought the long-awaited original stereo version to the light of day, but also improved the distorted band sound, which was Liam and Noel's biggest flaw, as their vocals tended to be pushed to the back. The rebirth and improved balance of this work can be said to be the best of all the "remixes and remasters" to date. The difference is clear when you compare it to the previously released sound source. The voices of Liam and Noel, which were heard from afar, are pushed out all at once, and it has been reborn into something completely different that you can tell at a glance (of course, we are not creating something that does not exist like a generative AI). Above all, Liam's voice is in top form from the opening, with the same momentum as Cardiff. The fact that his amazing singing has evolved to a state where it can be felt as if it were in your hands was a major achievement of this work. Anyway, Liam's voice has been interestingly good from the beginning, and as a result of the balance being reborn in this work, his presence finally stands out. This feels really good to listen to! As in Cardiff, this was also part of the regular tour gigs at the time, but the subsequent event-like live performances such as Main Road and Knebworth also stood out with their bright blue excitement and high-tension performance, which was heard in the best stereo soundboard recording! It can be said that this is a great performance that is on par with Main Road and Knebworth without flattery. Furthermore, the excitement of the Noel singing corner was even more amazing than in Cardiff. In "Whatever", the Dublin audience had a great sense of singing, not only the singing parts but also the phrases in between, humming along (laughs). When it came to "Wonderwall", Noel not only left the singing completely to the audience, as in Cardiff, but also stopped the performance at the end of the song and had them sing an additional chorus a cappella, which was an impressive development. The value of this broadcast was also high in the sense that the stereo soundboard captured the anthemic feeling unique to the real time of the song, and recording in stereo was essential. And on this day, perhaps as a hint to Main Road and Knebworth, the horn section was introduced to "Round Are Way" and "I Am The Walrus". In particular, the latter, which became the finale, was a great achievement in that the horns resounded powerfully from both sides. In this way, the definitive version of Dublin in 1996, which should have reigned as one of the classic sound boards in Oasis history, will finally be released! This is a masterpiece from the peak of Oasis, and the sound source that has only been released in mono until now is the first stereo sound board, and it even includes "The Swamp Song" and the inter-songs that were cut in the previous releases, making it a completely superior compatible version that will defeat the previous releases. You definitely can't miss the two masterpieces from the first half of 1996, Cardiff and Dublin!
