The 1997 “BE HERE NOW” tour is very popular among enthusiasts. Fortunately, there are plenty of broadcast sound sources in real Thailand for the high-tension performance, and Hammerstein Ballroom, Den Bosch, and G-MEX are all classics. There is no doubt that these are the three giants of the 1997 tour, but there are actually other performances that were being broadcast. It will be at Olympia Hall in Munich on November 19th. It was also the performance a week before Den Bosch. Although the narration ended in the second half of "Live Forever", since it was broadcast on the radio, items were also released in real life, and the name is "OLYMPIA HALL". However, this title was based on a version of the broadcast in which the narration entered and faded out as soon as the highlight of the day, "Don't Go Away," started, and the part after "Wonderwall" was not recorded. . What's more, I don't appreciate the fact that it was released with the great stress of skipping in monaural sound. Later, when the title “THE BEST ACT IN THE WORLD” was released, the opening “Be Here Now” was not included. Because the sound source, which was originally incompletely broadcast, was released with some problems, it was completely overlooked. It is true that the incomplete state is regrettable, but the content and sound quality are still very wonderful. First of all, Noel and Bonehead's guitars are neatly distributed between left and right, yet they are captured with a very powerful sound pressure. Perhaps because of this, at the beginning of the song, Liam's vocals seem to be pushed by the guitar, but as the performance progresses, it recovers. Another feature is that not only the guitar but also the strings played by the supporting keyboard stand out. Above all, its great appeal is its extremely warm sound quality, which, together with the sound pressure of the guitar, creates an exquisite taste. Moreover, the performance content is full of 1997 tour characteristics. First of all, the two brothers are screaming in the intro from “Be Here Now”, and the scene where Liam screams after singing “Stand By Me” is a 1997-like scene. He is writhing in “D’You Know What I Mean?” from the intro, and his overall performance is very exciting. What's even more crazy is that Noel interrupts Liam while he's talking and introduces ``Wonderwall'' as ``Anarchy in the U.K.,'' which seems to be in 1997. And the most important thing is “Don’t Go Away”. It was introduced into the repertoire at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom, where it was first introduced, and has been performed nightly on European tours. However, at the Berlin performance held a few days after the Olympia Hall, Liam's voice broke (he had been out of control), and it was a tragic masterpiece that caused the set to drop. It was later performed as a special performance only by G-MEX, which was an exception among the exceptions that also served as a promotion for the TV broadcast, and it was not revived as a regular song with Liam singing. Since it was such a valuable repertoire, it was a big drawback that the real version of “OLYMPIA HALL” ended quickly with the narration. However, since there is also a version in which “Don’t Go Away” was completely broadcast, a limited press CD release will be realized for the first time in the form of the longest recording of the broadcast. Not only is the sound quality very good with the stereo soundboard, but Liam's voice is very good, as you can see from the fact that he effortlessly sang "Don't Go~", which he failed to sing a few days later. is doing well. The difference is obvious even when compared to the standard Den Bosch broadcast. In fact, the same song by G-MEX was a masterpiece among the famous performances, but the same song here in Munich was also quite wonderful, and there is something special about Liam singing this song and the band backing up. Of course, this time there was no part where it would fall to monaural, and it was recorded properly from the opening. “Be Here Now” is also a very exciting performance, so “THE BEST ACT IN THE WORLD”, which had failed to include it, was also painful. Despite being an excellent sound source on the stereo sound board (it's strange that the echo gets deeper when it comes to MC), Munich 97's radio broadcasts, which have suffered from misfortune for over 20 years, are finally satisfying. released in the form Olympia Hall, Munich, Germany 19th November 1997 STEREO SBD(68:16) 01.
