"MTV UNPLUGGED" is a super famous recording of Oasis in 1996. The circumstances surrounding the recording of the entire album with Noel's vocals due to Liam's illness have been thoroughly discussed, so there is no need to mention it again here. Rather, this standard stereo soundboard is the source that was longed for to be the true definitive version, while the existing titles contained flaws. And since it was originally a television broadcast, it is also a source that has produced many items since the beginning. In 1996, 10 songs were broadcast, and "Listen Up" (which was also the selling point of the work), which was cut from the broadcast at the time, was released on a compilation VHS that compiled the best acts of the program. Furthermore, in the 21st century, "Whatever", which was also cut from the 1996 broadcast, was released online. Flushbulb's "MTV UNLIAMMED (DEFINITIVE EDITION NEW MASTER)" was not just a compilation of each of them, but was also re-compiled in the best state at the time. Since the release of the album, it has been considered the best for a long time, but in 2021, unedited one-angle footage taken by a crane camera during the program recording was suddenly leaked on YouTube, literally causing a stir among enthusiasts. This was not just a leaked video, but a groundbreaking discovery in which the first Take 1 version of "Hello", which was recorded in the opening but was re-recorded due to a performance mistake, saw the light of day for the first time. There was no way that such a surprising discovery would not be released, and the Bayswater album "UNPLUGGED" was released immediately. However, perhaps because the aforementioned newly excavated sound source was so sudden, the content was quite roughly edited. The highlight was the crane camera sound, which was footage before it was edited for broadcast, so the video feed was mono on one channel, and as a result, the balance was such that the acoustic guitar and bass sounds could not be heard. In addition, "Whatever" is still mono, which is a shame. In addition, in order to alleviate the sense of incongruity with these, the Bayswater album added additional pseudo-stereo-like equalization for some reason, even though the program itself was already stereo. The deterioration is particularly noticeable in the drums of "Live Forever", "Round Are Way" and "Cast No Shadow", and the result is far from a beautiful capture of the band's sound on this day, which was a large-scale formation. On the other hand, the official compilation "THE VERY BEST OF MTV UNPLUGGED" includes a remastered version of "Don't Look Back In Anger", which sounds better than the broadcast in 1996 (and is a great performance). In addition, the program itself, as well as "Whatever", which was the biggest obstacle, have become available in superb stereo sound in recent years, so the materials to create a new definitive version are already available as of 2025. This is the latest remix and remaster that is finally being realized, and the mastering of "Don't Look Back In Anger" included in "THE VERY BEST OF MTV UNPLUGGED" was aimed at creating a model sound that would finish all of these materials to the same high quality. However, the bass was a bit too boomy, so the frequency band was finely adjusted. This technology was also used in U2's "DEFINITIVE DUBLIN 1993 2ND NIGHT: 2025 REMASTER & REMIX" and Oasis' "DEFINITIVE GLASGOW 2001 1ST NIGHT: 2025 REMASTER & REMIX", and it was a great success this time as well in achieving both uniformity and high quality of sound. Furthermore, the source that was recorded on DAT from the 1996 broadcast was not remixed, but only remastered without any major changes. Thanks to this, you can enjoy the highest quality stereo recording of "Whatever" as it is. In addition, "Listen Up" also uses the highest quality sound extracted from the official compilation LD, but in this official compilation, the song had a pseudo-cheering added at the beginning, so the latest AI technology was used to delete only this pseudo-cheering so that there was no discrepancy with the sound heard at the actual venue! Of course, there is no gap between the songs. The gaps between the songs that were deleted at the time of broadcast were filled in with crane camera sources and recorded thoroughly. After "Cast No Shadow", you can hear the irresistible scene of the "Cigarettes & Alcohol" riff being played on an acoustic guitar. We promise the best sound quality that will not be found in past items, but only the mono sound of the crane camera "Hello" Take 1, which has an unnatural instrument balance, which can be said to be the biggest challenge, was thoroughly remixed and remastered to thoroughly improve the instrument balance and sound image to the maximum. This was also a great improvement from the past items to a natural texture! The best part is the Take 2 of "Hello" that was adopted for broadcast. In the Take 2 of the same song that was adopted for broadcast, the "shit" in the lyrics "So wipe the shit from your shoes" was literally censored and cut, as is the case with American broadcasts, but there was nothing that could be done about that, so all the past titles, including the Bayswater version, were left alone. However, since the same part can be heard uncensored in the crane camera source mentioned above, only the vocals in the relevant part were extracted from the crane camera source and overdubbed onto the stereo source, and the censorship process was successfully removed. This makes it possible to listen to Noel's song for the first time in history in its complete state without any broadcast ban processing or fakery! In this way, it is natural that the soundboard recording with the highest sound quality in the entire work was created from a thorough organization of the sound quality. The previously overlooked issues have been thoroughly cleaned up, and the finish is so good that even the word "definitive edition" feels lukewarm!
