To commemorate the release of Oasis 2001 live sound source for the first time in a long time, rare live footage of Oasis 2001 is now available. Their first live performance that year was at the festival ``ROCK IN RIO'' held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. At this year's "ROCK IN RIO" festival, the focus was on Guns N' Roses, who had their first live performance in eight years, while Oasis' "STANDING ON THE SHOULDER OF GIANTS" had some ups and downs. I felt like I didn't get much attention from the media because I appeared on the show at a time when there wasn't much of a buzz after the show ended. This was the beginning of activities that symbolized the year 2001, which was a period of transition throughout the year, but the content of the performance on that stage was especially fulfilling. This gift proves that. There is a tradition that the "ROCK IN RIO" festival is accompanied by a TV broadcast, and thanks to this, professional shot footage of their stage will also be left. It was broadcast on TV in Brazil in 2001, so when you look at it with your own eyes, you can't deny that it's not ultra-clear, but the image quality is definitely better than the version currently available on YouTube. The set list is a digest of the previous year's tour pattern, and the floral shirt Liam wears on stage is reminiscent of the one he wore in the MV for "Who Feels Love." On the other hand, Noel sings a cover of Neil Young's ``Hey Hey, My My'', and in many ways it feels like the remnants of the ``STANDING ON ~'' era, but even now, it's an interesting time to be on stage from a different era. I wonder if I can re-evaluate. Moreover, since this was his first job in 2001, Liam's voice is in excellent condition. From the opening “Go Let It Out” you can see that his voice quality still belonged to that of the 2000 tour. What's more, thanks to the professional shots and soundboard, his crisp singing stands out even more. Liam can sing songs like “Live Forever” on this day in a better way than Fuji Rock, and I think it can be called a masterpiece. And it is a symbolic scene that the closing “Rock 'n' Roll Star” is dedicated to Axl Rose of Guns, who was the hot topic at the time of the festival.
