Oasis at the BBC Broadcast 2025 Edition Jewel Version

On June 21st, less than a month until the world's long-awaited reunion concert, the BBC made full use of their Oasis footage to broadcast a fantastic program titled "OASIS AT THE BBC." The program primarily featured footage of Oasis's appearances on "TOP OF THE POPS." As lip-syncing is a standard for the show, they often lip-synced as well, but for 1994's "Shakermaker," they recorded a rare setting, with Liam singing live over a karaoke tune. On the other hand, there was a legendary performance of "Roll With It" that made the most of the lip-syncing. In this segment, Noel lip-synced to the original lineup, with Liam on lead guitar and Noel on lead vocals. (laughs) Between these past Top of the Pops segments, footage of live performances by the band is interspersed, including performances of "Morning Glory" and "Columbia" at the 2002 T in the Park festival, and "Cigarettes & Alcohol" from the 2004 Glastonbury Festival. Interviews with the Gallagher brothers are also interspersed, including rare footage from 1996, when Liam delayed his trip to the US and sparked a scandal. Additionally, specially created explanatory captions appear at the bottom of each song's TV appearances and live performances, carefully explaining the history of each song, including the records and anecdotes it has inspired. And what's most important is that all of this footage, being the latest broadcast in 2025, is available in perfect quality. While all previous Top of the Pops episodes are readily available on YouTube, high-definition versions of tracks like 1995's "Some Might Say" and early 1996's "Cum On Feel The Noize" are surprisingly rare. And the aforementioned high-definition version of the 2002 T in the Park festival is especially rare, and while it's being broadcast discreetly here, it's a truly valuable take! The result is a satisfying 90-minute program that offers a quick, yet perfectly accurate overview of Oasis' history, centered around their Top of the Pops appearances.
