A rare recording of a live performance held at Maxxis Kansas City in September 1976 after the Dolls split up, recorded in high quality stereo audience recording! The original members of the New York Dolls, David Johansen and Sylvain Sylvain, were the only ones left, and a rare recording of a live performance held at Maxxis Kansas City, their home ground in New York, on September 25, 1976, recorded in high quality stereo audience recording! The live performance was held in two parts, the first show was digitally transferred directly from the 1st Genemaster and the second show was digitally transferred directly from the master cassette, and the sound quality was of a high class for the time, with a wide range, and the vocals and each part were recorded with very well-balanced and clear sound quality. There is a missing part in the ending of the last number of the first show, "Personality Crisis", but the rest of the performance was recorded without any problems. In 1975, Jerry Nolan and Johnny Thunders left the band and formed the Heartbreakers, while Johansen and Sylvain put an end to their work as the Dolls. The first show included Dolls' heyday numbers "Looking for a Kiss", "Bad Girl", "(There's Gonna Be a) Showdown", "Personality Crisis", as well as "Girls" and "Teenage News", which were played at the live shows in late 1975 when Johnny and Jerry were still in the band. The second show changed the set list and included numbers from Johansen's solo album, including "She Knew She Was Falling in Love" and "Wreckless Crazy", which were written by Sylvain and included in Johansen's second solo album released in 1979, as well as the representative song from the Dolls' heyday that was not played at the first show, "Stranded in the Jungle", and a rare cover of New Orleans-born Eddie Bo's "Check Mr. Popeye", allowing you to fully enjoy the unknown late Dolls!
