The British BBC "IN CONCERT" in which Neil Young appeared in 1971 is one of his most classic videos in the 1970s. Even though the songs from the historical masterpiece ``Harvest'', which had been in production at the time, were played and sung even before they were released, the richness of the content also cements its status as a classic. Not only was it rich in content, but its sound quality was also excellent, so in the past it was made into a recording on the TMOQ label's ``BBC BROADCAST'', and several items have also been produced on CD. In fact, this sound source was included in the MASTERPORT label's CD-R "SOLO TOUR 1971" It was such a great video, but since the beginning of the 21st century, the version that was rebroadcast in Europe has been widely released on DVD. it was done. It had a major flaw in that it had the program's red logo on the edge of the screen, but the image quality was still excellent, so it was provisionally considered the best version. After that, in 2008, a version that was rebroadcast by the original BBC was circulated among traders, but for some reason it was never released as an item, even though it did not have the program logo. However, in the 2010s, it was rebroadcast again in 2013 when the BBC shifted to digital broadcasting. This was such an amazing image quality that it blew away the previous version. As expected, this is a version from the digital era, so the image quality is exceptionally sharp and clear. After all, the resolution is so high that you can even see the feel of Neil Young's skin, including the pores on his nose (lol). Even if it were officially released as it is, the quality would be comparable. Currently, there are multiple uploads on YouTube based on this 2013 broadcast. However, even though it was uploaded in HD mode, the image quality deteriorated when it was uploaded to YouTube. In that respect, this time it is recorded directly from the recorded version of the 2013 broadcast, so the image quality is incomparable to that on YouTube. It is strange that this item has never been released even though it boasts such high quality. The best version has been luxuriously released. What's more, it's a happy coincidence that the opening song is "Out On The Weekend", just like the album "Harvest". Not only at the time the program was recorded in February, but even at the time it aired in April, ``Harvest'' was still in the process of recording the songs, and the album's overall image was not yet in mind. All the more, this prophetic opening is miraculous. On the contrary, it is said that "A Man Needs A Maid" was recorded during this stay in England. And above all, the value of the video that captures Neil simply playing the timeless masterpieces recorded in "Harvest" such as "Heart Of Gold" and "Old Man" in a freshly born form is immeasurable. It's very typical of Neil to show off a lot of songs on TV before they're released, but it's true that it became a great live video that will be remembered for generations to come. A super clear version of such a historical live video. BBC TV Studios, London, UK 23rd February 1971 PRO-SHOT (UPGRADE) 01. Out on the Weekend 02. Old Man 03. Journey Through the Past 04.
