We have prepared an item that can be enjoyed together with Neil Young & Crazy Horse's 1978 newly excavated audience album "PROVIDENCE 1978", which will surprise enthusiasts all over the world. Included in it is the familiar 1978 tour film "RUST NEVER SLEEPS". It is a video that captures the stage where Neil Young's live performances first introduced stage direction and concept. This itself is a live video that is still easily available today, but this time we have recorded the version that was broadcast in Japan more than 10 years ago. Based on the DVD released at the time, the broadcast cut one song "Thrasher", and also the state of the venue before Neil appeared and the scene before the encore. That said, the original was a DVD at that time, and the image quality is not at the level of today's HD quality software, and there are some cuts on top of that. These points alone may not seem very interesting, but the introduction captions for each song added at the time of broadcast are actually quite interesting. In the case of representative songs, the text displayed is fine, but for example, when it comes to less popular songs like "Welfare Mothers," it is introduced as "the lyrics about divorce among the American middle class became a hot topic," but if it was really that popular..., there are many famous phrases that will make any enthusiast question it. The masterpiece is "I Am A Child," which is introduced as "a song from the best album "Decade," released as a three-LP set in 1977," and the introduction is so shocking that it doesn't even mention Buffalo Springfield. And while "PROVIDENCE 1978," which will be released this time, is a recording of one stage of a live performance as it is, this is a finished video work as a live film, and for example, the fact that most of Crazy Horse's backing vocals have been overdubbed makes it seem like an official finished product. At the same time, by comparing these videos, it is even more obvious how valuable "PROVIDENCE 1978" is.
