The stage of MOTLEY CRUE and WHITESNAKE, which decorated the climax on July 21, the final day of the Chippewa Valley Rock Fest held in Cadott, Wisconsin in 2013, has been released as a high-quality audience master that has never been released anywhere else! Just like the recently released "ROCK FEST 2013" (featuring KISS, MEGADETH, and SLASH) on July 20, this is a must-listen 4-disc set for hard rock/heavy metal fans. The Chippewa Valley Rock Fest is a "summer tradition" in Cadott, Wisconsin. In 2013, it was held for four days from July 18 to 21. This time, many bands and artists performed enthusiastically, and the venue was filled with the excitement of fans every day. On the third day, July 20th, KISS, who had released their new album, appeared as the headliner, along with big bands such as MEGADETH and SLASH. A luxurious lineup adorned the stage. ROCK FEST 2013, which packaged the third day of the festival with an excellent master not available anywhere in the world, became a hot topic among metal enthusiasts immediately after its release. This time, the final day of this special festival, July 21st, which delighted many rock fans, has been recorded on vinyl! As with the recording on the 20th, this work also uses the original audience master provided by a Japanese taper who experienced the live performance on site (naturally, this recording is not known at all on the Internet or among traders). MOTLEY CRUE, who was the final act of the festival, and WHITESNAKE, whose recent visit to Japan is still fresh in their memories, will be performing. You can enjoy the gorgeous and big performances of these two big bands with a total of 177 minutes of volume and superb sound quality on four discs! Discs 1 and 2 contain a complete recording of the WHITESNAKE stage, which was performed as the semi-final on the final day, for about 82 minutes. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the band's debut. David Coverdale, who has named this year the "Year Of The Snake," has been very active, releasing various official live works and carrying out a large-scale world tour. After the band's performance in Japan in May, they moved to the UK and Europe. After that, they performed a total of 26 shows on their American tour, from the Newkirk, Oklahoma performance on July 12th to the Kennewick, Washington performance on August 23rd. This "Rock Fest" is the 7th show on their North American tour. The live started with "Give Me All Your Love" just like in Japan. As you can tell from David's shout of "Are you ready!" that signals the start of the show, the band's musical tones are very on. You can enjoy the performance with a dynamic sound that explodes right in front of the listeners. Coverdale's vocals, which have often been criticized in recent live performances, are more than enough to captivate the listener with their power and expressiveness in this live performance. "Ready An' Willing" and "Is This Love" feature his deep voice, which is unique to him. The combination of Doug Aldrich and Reb Beach is also a wonderful twin lead, and the medley of "Can You Hear The Wind Blow" and "Don't Break My Heart Again" and the thrilling guitar playing of "Gambler" and "Love Will Set You Free" are enjoyable. "Steal Your Heart Away" featuring a drum solo by Tommy Aldridge, who returned to the band from this year's tour, is also a great listen. Disc 2 features a series of songs that were not performed at the Japan tour, each of which is a highlight of the live performance. In addition to the short but medley-like "Slide It In" and "Slow An' Easy," the band's representative song "Bad Boys" is clearly a big hit with the audience. The main part of the set is impressively concluded with "Here I Go Again," and the encore is dramatic with "Still Of The Night," which will be enjoyed with the excitement worthy of the climax of the live show! Although the set is slightly shorter than the Japan and UK tours where they toured as headliners, the selection of songs and the performance are packed with highlights that will enhance the festival atmosphere! Discs 3 and 4 feature the 95-minute full set of MOTLEY CRUE's live performance that closed the festival. Like the previous WHITESNAKE, this live performance is recorded with a wonderful clarity of sound and a direct performance. You can enjoy the energetic performance unique to MOTLEY CRUE and the extremely colorful songs that are even poisonous, with a realistic sound that captures the entire atmosphere of the festival venue. The set list begins with 2008's "Saints Of Los Angeles," and continues with the band's classic hits such as "Wild Side," "Piece Of Your Action," and "Same Ol' Situation (S.O.S.)." The audience showed a big reaction to the title track "Shout At The Devil" and "Looks That Kill", which were chosen from "SHOUT AT THE DEVIL" which was released exactly 30 years ago, and they are the highlights of the recording! Not to mention Vince Neil's performance, Mick Mars' guitar, Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee's rhythms are still unique even after more than 30 years of career, and they still have the same presence. In the second half of the live, "Too Fast For Love" and "Primal Scream", their power is not weakened, but it seems to be at its peak. The excitement of "Dr. Feelgood" and the hit song "Girls, Girls, Girls" is worthy of being the grand finale of the festival! In the last song "Kickstart My Heart", the venue and the stage are united in a frenzy, and not only the audience but also the listeners are completely burned out! After MOTLEY CRUE's performance, you can hear the "closing announcement" of the festival by the in-house announcement in "Outroduction". In a mood where everyone is enjoying the afterglow of the festival, the announcement looking back on the festival and expressing gratitude to the audience is quite moving. This is also a listening point unique to audience recordings, which are "on-site records". The recording on the 20th and this work "ROCK FEST 2013" are very rare and unique items, being overseas festival recordings by Japanese tapers. This festival, where MOTLEY CRUE and WHITESNAKE, who were competing for album sales in the United States around 1988, appeared on the same stage, 25 years ago, will be enjoyed by veteran metal fans with deep feelings. Of course, fans of the younger generation will also enjoy the performance of the luxurious bands without complaint. A festival record for all metal fans.
