Vince Neil returned to MOTLEY CRUE in 1997 with the golden four. Their masterpiece pro shot is to be released. This work was shot here in Japan. It is a multi-camera pro shot of the "Ariake performance on August 16, 1997" when they came to Japan to unveil their restart. This show was titled "ROCK AROUND THE BAY FESTIVAL" and was an outdoor concert in the form of a festival with Zakk Wylde and Steve Vai. The footage was broadcast on television by a certain satellite broadcasting station and has reigned as the representative footage of the "GENERATION SWINE" era. This work is a DVD of the best master of that TV broadcast. In order to recall such a time, let's first look back at the show's position from the schedule of 1997, when the original members were excited about the restart. {January 27: Announcement of return at AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS} April 5: Appearance at LIVESTOCK FESTIVAL VII June 10-24: North America #1 (10 performances) {June 24 "GENERATION SWINE" released} June 28: ROSKILDE FESTIVAL August 16 + 17: Japan (2 performances) ←★Here★ September 13: Atlantic City performance October 10-December 11; North America #2 (43 performances) This is MOTLEY CRUE in 1997. They also appeared at various events, but mostly in North America, their main battlefield. Their only overseas performances were at the "ROSKILDE FESTIVAL" in Denmark and in Japan. As mentioned above, this work, which was filmed at such a show, is a standard multi-camera pro shot. Although it is an analog broadcast due to the era, the master's freshness is excellent. After all, there are no dubbing marks, no tape twists, no white line noise, and no distortion at the edge of the screen, which is supposed to be the fate of VHS. Although it cannot be said to be "official class!" by the modern standards of the digital heyday due to the sweetness of analog image quality, I would like to bark with all my might if it was the standard at that time. Of course, if the camera work is perfect, the sound is also the best sound board. It is the best image that would pass even if you said "It was officially released at that time" if there was no broadcasting station logo. The beautiful image depicts the golden four, but the stage of the 90s that is a little different from other periods. The key to that is the set. Let's organize the contents here. Classics (8 songs) ・TOO FAST FOR LOVE: Live Wire ・SHOUT AT THE DEVIL: Shout at the Devil ・GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS: Girls Girls Girls/Wild Side ・DR. FEELGOOD: Dr. Feelgood/Kickstart My Heart ・DECADE OF DECADENCE: Anarchy In The U.K./Primal Scream GENERATION SWINE (4 songs) ・Find Myself/Generation Swine/Glitter/Afraid ... and so on. It's not a full show because it follows the program frame of about an hour, but it's full of classics that are even more concentrated than the crystallization of the golden age, "DECADE OF DECADENCE". However, what's important about this work is rather the rest. It's a number from the latest work "GENERATION SWINE" at the time. "Afraid" was occasionally performed on subsequent tours, but "Find Myself", "Generation Swine" and "Glitter" were only available at that time. In particular, the heavy and groovy worldview of "Find Myself," sung by Nicky at the opening, could only have been possible in the 90s, and looks very fresh to today's eyes. It would be a problem if it was so overwhelming, but as mentioned above, 2/3 of this work is the authentic MOTLEY CRUE style. It's not boring as usual, and it's not so eccentric that it doesn't seem like MOTLEY. It's a very delicious video work. It's been five years since they came to Japan in February 2015 for the "MOTLEY CRUE FINAL TOUR." They're on the move again. Although only North America has been announced for their latest tour, they will surely come back to Japan again... Such feelings are gushing out from the screen and speakers for an hour.
