The first day of the 1975 Japan tour that gave birth to "Agartha" and "Pangaea", the Tokyo performance on January 22nd, was mastered in 2022 as a soundboard sound source using a master reel. First of all, the live performance at Shinjuku Koseinenkin Kaikan on the first day of the Tokyo tour, which is praised by all Miles enthusiasts including the late Yasuki Nakayama, along with "The Triumph of Agartha" and "The Seal of Pangaea", is a masterpiece released by the now defunct Seymour Records under the title "Laurasia". The master reel of the soundboard sound source, which could have been officially released, was digitally transferred, and even parts with unbalanced volume due to the master were smoothed out seamlessly by professional use editing using the latest equipment in 2022, at a level that is comparable to "Agapan". Reggie Lucas' guitar cutting intertwines with the rhythm section of Mike Henderson and Al Foster, and Mtume's percussion brings about an exotic, ancient atmosphere, and Miles' high notes pierce the groove that moves forward with furious momentum as they come together. And Pete Cosey's guitar, which swells violently, reproduces the high-funk, raging performance of the Osaka performance 10 days later, comparable to "Agartha" and "Pangaea".
