This nearly complete recording captures the performance at the Nice Jazz Festival in France on July 15th during the 1986 Euro Tour. It features the broadcast master soundboard recording and two previously unaired tracks complemented by audience recordings. Both recordings have been remastered in 2025, making it a nearly complete 1 hour 29 minute recording. This recording captures the third day of the festival, which took place over several days and included multiple stages. Using state-of-the-art equipment, the audience recordings have been upgraded with noise reduction and balance adjustments, resulting in a quality that blends seamlessly with the soundboard recording. While many of the live performances from that year were excellent, Miles was in top form on this occasion, and the band sound was clear and crisp. The rhythm section of V. Wilburn and S. Thornton was prominent, showcasing a light and supple rhythm unique to this period. The interplay between Bob Berg and Robben Ford was also excellent, with Ford delivering a more radical solo than usual. While the playing of Miles and Bob Berg, who mainly play "TUTU" numbers, is outstanding, Robben Ford will already be leaving for the upcoming autumn Euro tour, so fans should also check out the soundboard recordings of his precious final performances with Miles' band.
