A unique day among Miles' live performances is here. It was a performance in Ann Arbor on February 21, 1970. Deep fans will immediately know that this is a valuable live recording with John McLaughlin, as the title suggests. Of course, McLaughlin also participated in "Bitches Brew" and the soundtrack "Jack Johnson," and was one of the key players in promoting Miles' electrification. However, it was difficult to perform together live. At the time, McLaughlin was also extremely busy with Tony Williams' Life Time and his own project, the launch of the Mahavishnu Orchestra. Currently, this is the only day you can hear this live performance with this lineup (the photo used on the jacket is from that day). After two songs of cooling down, DeJohnette's drumming becomes more intense and heats up again in "Bitches Brew." And the best part is "Masqualero," which was highly praised by the late Yasuki Nakayama, a Miles collector and critic familiar to fans. It's so overwhelming that you won't even be able to close your mouth, and you won't even be able to blink. If you wear contact lenses, you'll need eye drops. It's not a recording that sells its delicacy like a soundboard, but it's rough and powerful, and it's the best way to convey the band's original performance.
