This release features a 2025 remastering of a surviving, excellent audience tape from a show at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, California, on April 24, 1970, immediately following the four-day Fillmore West performance. While the recording is just under 20 minutes long and far from a full live performance, the limited availability of recordings from this period means this upgraded version is a favorite among avid fans. The bonus feature is an edited version of "CALL IT ANYTHING" from the legendary Isle of Wight Festival on August 29 of the same year. While a complete version has been available in recent years, this edited version is considered the original, as Teo Macero carefully edited it to create a complete song. Since the original live recordings of Miles Davis were originally created through his editing, this version is truly valuable. By the way, if you listen to the complete version of the Isle of Wight live performance, you'll find that it's a total of 34 minutes, with songs like "DIRECTIONS," "BITCHES BREW," and "SPANISH KEY" being played, and is completely different from "CALL IT ANYTHING," so fans should definitely check it out.
