The 1986 world tour kicked off with a performance in Ohio on March 21st. However, after this performance, Mike Stern left the band and was replaced by Robben Ford, a guitarist who had toured with George Harrison and Joni Mitchell, played in Tom Scott's band, and was heavily involved in the formation of the Yellowjackets. While the band debuted at a warm-up gig in Washington, DC, in April of the 1986 tour, this highly anticipated New York performance could be considered their true debut. While the recording from the second day, April 6th, was previously released, this release features an improved, noise-reduced, and pitch-corrected soundboard restoration. The opening performance, April 5th, is an audience recording, but this is the first time it has been released in its entirety, making it a must-have for enthusiasts. Of course, as always, the data sent by overseas enthusiasts clearly specifies the equipment used, including a Sony TC-D58 cassette deck (commonly known as a Densuke). There was some disturbance in the audio at the beginning of the live performance, but it was quickly resolved so you could enjoy the show with peace of mind.
