This release is a live performance from 1975. Of course, 1975 is the year when the masterpieces ``Agartha'' and ``Pangaea'' (hereinafter referred to as ``Agapan'') were born from the performance in Japan. The title of this item ``Beyond ``Agapan'''' comes from the fact that it was a live performance about five months after the performance in Japan where ``Agapan'' was recorded. Miles went on a five-year break after the 1975 tour, so "Agapan" was the last live recording before the break as an official item. However, what is recorded here is a live performance five months after “Agapan” as mentioned above. This is the last existing sound source from 1975, including private recordings owned by enthusiasts, and is an extremely valuable sound source. “Agapan” was thought to be Miles' highest point in the 1970s, but he never stopped. The saxophone player was changed from Sonny Fortune to Sam Morrison, and two new songs, ``Latin'' and ``Mother Dearest Mother,'' were tried out. The former is a song that has a development led by a melodious bass, which is unusual for Miles of this period, who rushes forward with almost one chord. The latter is like a coda that concludes the live performance. In addition, the familiar ``Ife'' has a suspicious beginning led by Miles' evil organ, but it has a very cool arrangement. The sound source is the "band recording" that has become well known to regular customers of our label, and is remastered from the master tape. At first glance, it may seem that there is not much difference in sound quality, but the weak point of the master is that the sound quality is not stable, and there were some parts where the bass was too loud and the overall volume was low, so I paid close attention to it. We have improved it as much as possible with your attention. There are some parts where the cymbals may feel a bit painful to the ears, but this is done to ensure that other instruments in the same frequency range are not drowned out. note that. A collector's item is something you look for after listening to an official album properly. If you have never heard “Agapan”, of course you should start with “Agapan”.
