The latest video from Michael Schenker's "TEMPLE OF ROCK" world tour is now available under a delightful title. This is a must-see video for fans, as it was recorded in full from the front row of the audience at the Romana, California performance, which was the fifth performance from the second leg of the US tour that started on October 3rd. The live performance of "TEMPLE OF ROCK", which is a solo work different from M.S.G., was as diverse as the album, which featured various guests, in terms of the participating members and song selection at the live performance. Robin McCauley participated in the first leg of the US tour in February, and they took up "Save Yourself", reminiscent of the "McCauley Schenker Group" era, and at the Japan performance in March, Michael Voss, who was the main vocalist on the album, and Herman Larebel, former member of SCORPIONS, were welcomed as members. Also, during the European tour from April onwards, with Dougie White taking the lead, Francis Buchholz, also a former member of the SCORPIONS, joined on bass, teaming up with Herman for the first time in 20 years to impress fans with SCORPIONS numbers such as "Lovedrive" and "Blackout". With these efforts, Michael's live shows received support from fans, and a second tour of the US was decided for the summer. This time too, Robin was initially scheduled to take the vocals, but he was unable to participate due to illness. David Van Landing, who was one of the singers in Michael's "Story Live" at the time of the release of "WRITTEN IN THE SAND", was chosen as his replacement. This work is a digital recording of the live show at the "Romana Main Stage" at the Romana on the 7th, from the autumn US tour that began on October 3rd, with amazing clarity. Although Robin's sudden illness is unfortunate, you can enjoy the powerful performance of the "fourth singer" of the "TEMPLE OF ROCK" tour, which was realized unexpectedly. As it is the latest digital footage, the clarity is outstanding. Furthermore, most of the live performance was shot from the front row of the audience, and the playing of Michael, David, Elliot Rubinson on bass, and Wayne Findlay on side guitar are each captured with great power (the closeness and composition of the footage are comparable to the standard footage "TEMPLE OF ROCK IN CALIFORNIA"). Another feature of this footage is that you can get a detailed look at Michael's playing. In the solos of each song, including the opening song "Lovedrive," where Michael's hands are close up, you feel as if you are watching a part of the official footage. The sound is a little distorted with a peak over the low range, but this is also due to the closeness of the stage and the cameraman. It could be said that it actually enhances the power of the live performance. The live performance is divided into scenes, with the SCORPIONS numbers "Lovedrive" and "Another Piece Of Meat" at the beginning, the M.S.G. part from "Save Yourself" to "Rock My Nights Away" (including the new song "Before The Devil Knows You're Dead"), and the raging UFO part from the middle onwards. You can enjoy excellent performances and songs that condense Michael's charm in each scene. Michael often has a smile on his face while playing, and he seems to be in a good mood from the opening. He also plays sharp guitar in "Into The Arena" and "Rock My Nights Away". The melodic and sensual tones of "Love To Love", the catchy "Natural Thing", and the no-questions-asked "Rock Bottom" - even in UFO numbers, his brilliant guitar knows no bounds! David also has a powerful and expansive vocal range, and he sings well on both M.S.G. songs and UFO numbers. Many people will remember his performance on "STORY LIVE" for his dexterity. As mentioned above, the "TEMPLE OF ROCK" tour has classic footage such as "TEMPLE OF ROCK IN CALIFORNIA" and "SAVE THEMSELVES" from the first leg of the US tour, and the audio is also well known, such as "TEMPLE OF THE GOD" from the Japan tour and "BEFORE THE DEVIL KNOWS" from the European tour. This work is a detailed capture of Michael's 2012 live performance, along with those. Along with the performance of David Van Landing, who performed together on a full-scale tour for the first time in 15 years, this is a live performance that fans cannot miss.
