Michael Schenker has decided to make his first appearance at the Nippon Budokan in 42 years. A front row (?) video that will allow you to fully experience the latest stage of the guitar god has been released. This work was filmed at the "Milan performance on May 1, 2025". This is a super close-up audience shot. The current tour is in conjunction with the re-recorded album "MY YEARS WITH UFO" released last fall, and is under the solo name rather than MSG. The singer has also been replaced by former SKID ROW member Eric Gronwall. Let's start by taking a bird's-eye view of the current ongoing activities, including the time of the project switchover, and approach the position of this work. 2025, March 11th + 14th: MOR Cruise (2 shows) {Robin McAuley → Eric Gronwall replacement} "MY YEARS WITH UFO Tour" April 9th - May 15th: Europe #1 (28 shows) ←★Here★ June 28th - August 23rd: Europe #2 (9 shows) September 5th - October 19th: North America (29 shows) 2026, January 28th + 29th: Japan (2 shows) This is the 2025/2026 schedule that has been announced so far. Until the "MONSTERS OF ROCK CRUISE" at the beginning of 2025, Robin McAuley and MSG style shows were held, but after that, the front was replaced by Gronwall and all songs entered the UFO "MY YEARS WITH UFO Tour". The Milan performance of this work was the 17th concert of "Europe #1" which decorated the beginning of such a new tour. This work, which vacuum-packed such a show, is a close-up shot that pulls out the technique. At the beginning, I wrote "front row (?)", but in fact the screen is occupied by Michael in a super close-up, and the other customers are not reflected so the exact position is unknown. If this is all, it seems that it would be good to declare that it is "the front row close to Michael", but the strange thing is that the viewpoint is high. Usually, the front row is at an angle that looks up to some extent, but this work has the members on stage at almost the same eye height. If you hold the camera up to such a height in the front row, you might get hit by the customers behind you... such a worry crosses your mind. In other words, "front row (?)" is not an expression of being shy. It is a "?" of "Was the front row so amazing?" Such a different dimension "Michael monopoly" shot depicts the latest full show filled with UFO's famous songs. In addition to the classic songs, the point is also the super rare songs that are surprising, so let's organize them while paying attention to their rarity. Force It (4 songs) Mother Mary / This Kid's (★) / Let It Roll / Shoot Shoot No Heavy Petting (4 songs) Natural Thing / I'm A Loser (★) / Can You Roll Her (★) / Reasons Love (★★) Others (7 songs + α) New Murderous Intent: Lights Out / Love To Love / Too Hot To Handle Others: Only You Can Rock Me / Hot 'N' Ready (★) / Doctor Doctor / Guitar Solo (Lipstick Traces / Between The Walls / Belladonna: ★★) / Rock Bottom *Note: The "★" mark indicates songs that have not been played by solo artists or MSG. In particular, the "★★" mark indicates songs that have no live performance records even during the UFO era. ...And so on. At first glance, it looks like a normal greatest hits album, but in fact, the emphasis is on "FORCE IT" and "NO HEAVY PETTING" rather than the masterpieces "PHENOMENON" and "LIGHTS OUT". The key point is the rare songs. The style is all the songs re-recorded in "MY YEARS WITH UFO" plus four songs "Hot 'N' Ready", "I'm A Loser", "Can You Roll Her" and "Reasons Love", and none of these four songs have been performed at MSG/solo performances in the past. In particular, "Reasons Love" is a surprise song that has not been recorded even during the UFO era. The selection of such great songs alone is moving, but the biggest point is actually the instrumental medley that doubles as a guitar solo. It is a pile of super rare songs "Lipstick Traces", "Between The Walls" and "Belladonna"! The tearful melodies that rise one after another are a wave attack of emotion and surprise that the brain cannot keep up with processing. It's a blissful medley that I've never experienced with either MSG or the original UFO. The members will be different for next year's Japan tour, and since it's advertised as a "career-wide best hits lineup," they may even play MSG's repertoire. However, if possible, I would like to experience this UFO festival in Japan... I can't help but wish for that. Shocking footage that lets you fully experience the nostalgic yet unprecedented UFO paradise with the ultimate spectacular view. The latest tour footage, which is all about the UFO festival, has been released. With Michael right in front of you, and a super special seat shot with no other customers in the picture, you can fully experience the delicious MY YEARS WITH UFO Tour, including the precious "Reasons Love" and rare song medleys.
