From the American tour from November to December 1980 that MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP conducted after the release of their 1st album "THE MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP", the performance in Seattle, Washington on December 17th was performed using the newly released Audience Master. The release has been decided. The sound source from this 1980 American tour is known as the standard sound board sound source owned by Cozy Powell, but there are very few titles recorded by the audience, so this release is news that has attracted a lot of attention from fans. Masu! This sound source, which is thought to have been produced directly from the master, has excellent brightness and freshness of sound, and is comparable to live performances in England and Japan from the same period. However, there were some unstable points, such as a slight bias toward the left channel, and it was also true that the sound was somewhat distorted. Therefore, in making this disc, we corrected the bias through thorough remastering, and also eliminated many noises and distortions. Regarding the ease of listening, this work has made great improvements in terms of sound quality, so much so that it can be said that it is a problem before comparison with the same-day sound source known among traders and on the Internet. The live performance started with the opening BGM "The Ride Of The Valkyries", just like the performance in Japan the following year. From the intro, a solemn atmosphere dominated the entire venue, and it was clear that the excitement of the audience was increasing greatly. The moment “Armed And Ready” started from the band introduction announcement on the venue side, the excitement sparked all at once, and the live curtain was cut off with the highest excitement. The sound image of the stage sound rushing all at once with high sound pressure is incredibly powerful. Although there is a certain sense of separation, the play of the core members of M.S.G. in this formation, such as Michael's guitar, Gary Burden's vocals, and Cozy's drums, can be heard surprisingly well. From the opening, the fans at the venue let out loud cheers and were delighted when they heard the three songs from their 1st album, “Cry For The Nations” and “Victim Of Illusion”! In the middle of the show, the UFO number "Natural Thing" is played with an edgy guitar, entertaining the listeners with its outstanding rhythm. Paul Raymond's keyboard also makes the song feel lively, and this is the part that can be said to be a good place to listen. Don't miss listening to "Feels Like A Good Thing", where Cozy's drums carve a straight and hard intro that is different from the original Simon Phillips. After playing the same song, Paul Raymond will introduce the members, and the live will move on to the highlight “Into The Arena”! “Into The Arena” that you can listen to here is very powerful and can be said to be a take that allows you to fully enjoy the charm of live tape. Furthermore, "Doctor Doctor" and "Lights Out", which seem to be folding, are played to a full satisfaction, and the live ends with great excitement! As mentioned above, the soundboard sound sources derived from "Cozy Tapes" from this period of live performances exist as definitive 2-disc sets. In "RETURN OF THE FLYING ARROW" you can listen to the performance in Pennsylvania in November, and in "FLYING OVER WEST" you can listen to the performance in Los Angeles on December 22nd, which was held 5 days after the original sound source, in the best sound. . However, these two titles are unfortunately incomplete recordings with some parts missing, and in terms of listening to the live performance at that time from the opening to the end of the show, this work of audience recording is clearly superior. (It is also worth noting that the set list changes frequently depending on the day). A surprising title packaged with 40 minutes of must-listen for M.S.G. enthusiasts.
