MICHAEL SCHENKER FEST (MSF) is an extravagant project in which Gary Burden, Graham Bonnet, Robin McCauley, and even Doogie White participated. We have just finished our third Japan tour, and now we have a superb original recording that completely records the highlight performances. The highlight, of course, is the "September 5, 2018: Tokyo International Forum" performance. This is an audience album that captures the whole story. At our store, we have already reported on the masterpiece live albums “RESURRECTION IN OSAKA 2018” and “RESURRECTION IN NAGOYA 2018”, so let’s first check the show position on the schedule. ・August 29th: Zepp Namba “RESURRECTION IN OSAKA 2018” ・August 30th: Zepp Nagoya “RESURRECTION IN NAGOYA 2018” ・August 31st: Toyosu PIT (additional performance) ・September 2nd: Zepp Sapporo・9 September 4th: Team Smile Sendai PIT ・September 5th: Tokyo International Forum [This work] A total of 6 performances. While the two works “RESURRECTION IN OSAKA 2018” and “RESURRECTION IN NAGOYA 2018” were at the beginning of the tour immediately after arriving in Japan, the Tokyo International Forum performance of this work was a concert on the last day. This work, which records the international forum that they returned to for the first time in two years since their first visit to Japan, is monumental in quality. Since the two works in Osaka and Nagoya were also intense, it is difficult to easily claim that it is the No. 1 tour, but this work is also transcendent. This is a work by the recording artist who achieved miraculous sound at HUEY LEWIS & THE NEWS's "TOKYO 2017 1ST NIGHT" last year and won the masterpiece of the tour, and it goes "like a soundboard" on the ground. The lively core dives straight in, and the slightly faint venue acoustics create a spectacle. The extremely clear "Ride of the Valkyries" that flows out during playback makes me forget that I'm in the audience... or rather, I think I've put on "Flying Legend" by mistake. Of course, the sound is great even when the main show begins. Three vocalists (Graham → Gary → Robin) share the microphone from the opening “Doctor Doctor”, but not only is each person clearly vivid, but even when the chorus goes around, the voices do not mix. That's what jumps into your ears, down to the first syllable of each lyric. According to the impressions of those who experienced it on-site, it seems that the on-site mix at the International Forum was not as good as that in Osaka and Nagoya, but the clarity of the recording itself is an excellent sound that rivals that of Western Japan. The show depicted with such sound is truly a gorgeous Schenker festival. Speaking of the International Forum, their first visit to Japan two years ago was their official work ``LIVE TOKYO INTERNATIONAL FORUM HALL A'', but the famous song ``Ame Arare'' that you can't hear there as well. Let's sort it out for each singer here. ●Doogie Section (Disc 1) ・“Holiday” sung by Michael ・All 4 songs of TEMPLE OF ROCK ・New song “Take Me to the Church” ●Robin Section (Disc 1) ・“Bad Boys” “Anytime” ・New song “Heart and Soul”・New song “Warrior” sung by all four members ●Graham Section (Disc 2)・Super rare “Searching For A Reason”!・New song “Night Moods” ●Gary Section (Disc 2) ・“Ready to Rock” “Rock My Nights Away” ・New song “Messin' Around” ●Encore ・UFO Section (Disc 3) ・“Natural Thing” sung by Doogie・"Lights Out" sung by all four members Of course, there are a lot of other standard songs in total, but even if you pick up only the songs that can't be heard on the official edition, it's such a big deal. Even if it's a familiar song, it's a luxurious version with famous singers serving as the chorus, and the combinations of each are diverse. This time, the super volume of over 2 hours and 40 minutes has become a hot topic in various places, and you can fully enjoy the show, which is exceptional not only in quantity but also in quality. What's more, the band that performs at such high volume has also improved. Although MSF has started to actively hold shows, there was actually a blank space before Japan. In July, we performed at a festival in Russia, but that was just a one-off event. This is the first time in about 5 months since April that we have been on a tour with multiple shows every day. Therefore, during this visit to Japan, the engine warmed up and found its rhythm with each performance, and the 6-performance mini tour did not give them much time to get tired. This work is the last day of such a Japan tour, and Michael and the four singers play for a long time without thinking about tomorrow. Despite coming to Japan for the third time, MSF far from getting bored, they put on a show that was several times better than before. This is a masterpiece that allows you to immerse yourself in every corner of the highlight of the night at the International Forum with the finest sound. A special and biggest show in Michael Schenker's glorious career. Live at Tokyo International Forum, Tokyo, Japan 5th September 2018 PERFECT SOUND(from Original Masters) Disc 1 (67:43) 1. Intro 2.
