The third Japan tour of MICHAEL SCHENKER FEST (hereinafter referred to as MSF) has finally been completed. A superb live album containing the final performance will be released. The final day is the “September 5, 2018: Tokyo International Forum” performance. The scaled-up show with the addition of Doogie White became a hot topic, but the tour schedule has actually become huge. First, let's check the show's position from the schedule of coming to Japan. ・August 29th: Zepp Namba “RESURRECTION IN OSAKA 2018” ・August 30th: Zepp Nagoya “RESURRECTION IN NAGOYA 2018” ・August 31st: Toyosu PIT (additional performance) ・September 2nd: Zepp Sapporo・9 September 4th: Team Smile Sendai PIT ・September 5th: Tokyo International Forum [This work] A total of 6 performances. A masterpiece live album “RESURRECTION AT TOKYO FORUM 2018” will also be released, but this work is a completely different show even though it is the same show. This is an original recording of this work that was directly inherited from Taper. This work is a truly wonderful audience sound. As expected, it is not as good as “RESURRECTION AT TOKYO FORUM 2018”, which is declared a “definitive board”, but that does not mean it is a roaring or explosive sound (at all!), nor is it a blurry sound (never!). Although it feels a little distant, the performance and singing voice that jump straight into it are fresh and fresh, and the neat sound of the international forum is also a beautiful recording. Moreover, the sense of realism is indescribable. The audience's chants and applause tend to have very different tastes, and while those who are looking for a replacement for a sound board or official live album may not like it, for those in the audience, it is unsatisfactory if there are too few. This work is the type that accurately captures the breathing of the audience. Of course, it would be ruinous if the voices of nearby guests drowned out the singers' masterpieces, but this work doesn't have that worry. The chorus is widely picked up, and the popularity of each singer and each song is vividly depicted. You can experience with your whole body the indescribably real feeling of being there. In fact, this on-site feeling is what makes it so delicious. The structure of the show and the songs to listen to have been described in the explanations of each title, but in this work, the feeling of the audience who witnessed it is real. For example, opening the show with “Holiday.” The slow and quiet mood and Michael's singing made people confused, and then Graham started singing "Doctor Doctor" and it exploded! Then, during Dougie and Robin's sections, they were in a mode of listening carefully, Graham got excited just by hearing his name called out, and during Gary's section, the audience sang original lines. That contrast is so honest and real. To be honest, the words that leaked out from the seats here and there were also funny. For example, in ``Dancer,'' when Graham misses a beat, you can't help but laugh, and when he lets out a tremendous throaty sound, it evokes admiration. "Attack of the Mad Axeman" is also interesting. It's a difficult song for Gary to play in falsetto for a long time, so it's too heavy for Gary, but when Robin supports that part perfectly, I can hear him muttering, ``That's so skillful...''. In fact, Dougie in TEMPLE OF ROCK couldn't sing this part, but Robin did it easily. Graham is probably the most popular MVP, but Robin may be the person who has contributed the most to supporting “MSF shows” as well as singing. This Japan tour continued with the finest masterpiece recordings in Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo. This is a masterpiece that allows you to experience the most realistic on-site feeling. This 3-disc set is perfect not only for sound source collectors, but also for trying out just how fresh and luxurious this MSF was.
