Congratulations! MICHAEL SCHENKER FEST will be coming to Japan!! Last year, Michael Schenker had a “reunion” with Graham Bonnet for the first time in 33 years, but in August of this year, in addition to Graham, Gary Burden , Robin McCauley's three former singers will all come to Japan! This time, he will be performing with Baden, Graham, and McCauley, who came to Japan in 2010 and are familiar from the official work ``THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT: LIVE IN TOKYO''. You can enjoy co-starring with Graham on last year's live albums ``SPIRIT ON A MISSION IN JAPAN: OSAKA & NAGOYA'', ``TOKYO 3 NIGHTS'', and ``ROCK OF AGES FESTIVAL 2015''. The problem is Robin McCauley. McAULEY SCHENKER GROUP doesn't have any good records, and it was 24 years ago. It's not great, but it doesn't help predict this year's shows. This is where this work appears. This is a superb video of McCauley and Michael co-starring in 2012! McAULEY SCHENKER GROUP, formed in 1986, may not have had a very good impression on Schenker fans of the past due to its American pop sound. However, McCauley's voice is a genuine Irish voice with a husky yet wet texture. It was compatible with the Schenker sound, but unfortunately, even if you listen to live performances at that time, there is no quality that could be a definitive record. The only live performance left officially is unplugged (although it was great), and the very few broadcast sound sources now have two sounds... but! This work brings an end to such a frustrating situation. This is their first co-starring performance in 20 years, and the video is digitally shot in 2012 with super high resolution quality. You can see plenty of the (rock!) combination of McCauley and Michael in a beauty that looks just like an official video! This work is a 2 DVDR DVD containing two performances of such a precious reunion tour with outstanding audience shots. This is a video set. The first one is the "February 24, 2012 Corona" performance. As soon as you play it, you will be blown away by its quality. The stage is spread out to fill the open field of view with no obstructions, which is unique to the front shooting, and there is plenty of zoom to see Macquarie right in front of you. Despite being so close, the angle was stable with no camera shake, and the band didn't seem to care about the camera...maybe this was taken by someone involved. And because it is in the forefront, the sound is also picking up the PA directly, giving it a direct feeling just like a sound board. It's like Michael's guitar and McCauley's singing voice are being poured directly into your ears. There are some videos from this period on Youtube, but they are all really disappointing, with lots of loud noises and shaking, and some where the important Macquarie was off. The visual beauty of this work is on a completely different level. Yes, that's right! I wanted to hear and see Macquarie Schenker's rock music at this quality!! The show held at that quality was amazing. Even in recent years, Michael has shown us his unwavering guitar work, but McCauley, who can be seen in this work, has not diminished at all (he is 59 years old at this point!). Stunning vocalization that is exactly the same as in the 80's. Now that Ronnie James Dio has passed away, I thought Glenn Hughes was the only monster who could surpass his age in the HR/HM world, but I have to add McCauley's name as well... The power explodes with the SCORPIONS number. Anyway, I want you to listen to “Lovedrive”! Dougie White, who fronted TEMPLE OF ROCK, was also doing well, but when it came to SCORPIONS songs, he had to fake it (I can't forget the disastrous performance of Black Out, which was lowered an octave at the final performance...) . However, McCauley sings without any fakes, and even hears an exquisite tone that makes you wonder, "Klaus Meine!?" for a moment. I feel sorry for Dougie, but to be clear, he's the wrong actor. It's too different. And when it comes to the UFO number, even though he is completely different from Phil Mogg, the flavor of his husky voice explodes. The bitter taste of “Love To Love”, which she sings as if she is savoring it carefully…what a power of expression! Furthermore, during this visit to Japan, they performed a large number of MSG's famous songs that were rarely seen, such as "Let Sleeping Dogs Lie," "Rock My Nights Away," "On And On," and "Attack Of The Mad Axeman." Of course, she boasts an outstanding sense of stability, but her singing spirit is on a completely different level from that of "simply a good singer." A mellow and pure European sound world unique to Germans and Irish people is spreading, which is hard to imagine from the pop image of the 80's. Yes, the taste of this work is also in this pure European sound world. I've been repeatedly calling him ``unfading'' and ``still the same as in the 80s,'' but McCauley, with his nightmarish hairstyle and weird dance moves from the 80s, is not here. The person here is an Irish singer who wears all black and has a sour texture, sings confidently and impresses the audience. Even if a professional shot of McAULEY SCHENKER GROUP from the 1980s is discovered in the future, it will not surpass this work. The second one is from the "March 1, 2012 Libertyville" performance about a week later. Since this is not the front row, there is no obstruction, and it is half a step short of the super quality "February 24th Corona" in terms of stability and one step in terms of sound. However, the point here is that it was shot by Michael. With the great atmosphere of the club venue, this is what you get! This is the camera work that follows Michael. McAULEY SCHENKER GROUP's synonymous song "Save Yourself" also features plenty of sharp hands! In 2012, when this film was filmed, Michael performed with various singers, including McCauley, Michael Voss, David Van Landing, and Dougie White. However, McCauley, who had only been in the team for about a month and a half, showed off the dignity of a ``former partner''. Four years after this video, he is finally returning to Japan as a member of MICHAEL SCHENKER FEST! This is a rare and precious video that allows you to fully appreciate his true ability and expressiveness, which is often underestimated due to his image from the 1980s, which was at the mercy of the times. This is a film that goes beyond just recent live footage, reaffirms Michael Schenker's career, and deepens your thoughts about what possibilities the McAULEY SCHENKER GROUP had. If you like McAULEY SCHENKER GROUP, or even if you think ``Baden and Graham are all you need,'' please take a look. This is the true power of singer Robin McCauley. Take a look at that singing voice!
