It is said that there is an early draft of Michael Jackson's "Thriller", and this title reproduces it. Version 1 is the title. The exact track order of Version 2 is unknown, but Quincy Jones said that towards the end of the album's production, he replaced the existing tracks "Got The Hots", "She's Trouble", "Carousel" and "Hot Street" with four songs: "Beat It", "Human Nature", "P.Y.T." and "The Lady In My Life". There is also a rumor on a fan site that "Hot Street" was recorded between "Baby Be Mine" and "The Girl Is Mine". Combining these pieces of information, Version 2 reproduces "Thriller" just before Quincy's replacements. "Baby Be Mine" had already been confirmed for inclusion (in fact, Version 1 of Thriller without this important song feels like it's not really Thriller at all), and it includes "Got the Hots," but is missing "Nightline" and "The Lady in My Life," which were on Version 1.
