Not content with the huge success of "Thriller," Michael was determined to make his next album to break all the records he had set there. The first demos were supposedly made during the "Victory" sessions at Hayvenhurst from November '83 to early '84. They included "Liberian Girl" and "Dirty Diana." One could also say that they were deliberately not included in "Victory" and were saved for Michael's next album. Although they were unfinished and could not be included in the album, Michael must have thought that these would be supremely wonderful songs if they were truly completed. The demo of "Liberian Girl" from that period has not been leaked. However, there is a snippet of "Dirty Diana" and a recording that is said to be a secret recording of a seminar by the people who were recording. "Dirty Diana" was recorded once in the fall of '85 after the demo in '84, so I put them as the 10th and 11th tracks of this title. The opening song, "You Are The One," is a song by Jennifer Holiday, who also had the R&B chart-topping "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going" in the musical Dreamgirls, and is included as the first track on her 1985 album, Say You Love Me. Michael co-wrote and produced it with Buzz Kohan, and is said to have originally recorded his own version. This is because Michael is credited as a performer on the BMI registration for this song, and Michael is not included in the song as a backing or chorus, so it seems likely that there is a recording that Michael made before the recording. It is also possible that it is Michael who is just whispering "you're the one" and that this is treated as the chorus. However, even if there is, Michael's version is thought to be a demo of Holiday's singing guide, and it is clear that Holiday developed her own wonderful singing from there and completed it by singing it. It is a very beautiful song with a wonderful melody, but it is said that it was not for the album "Bad" that he was starting to work on at the time. "One day a prince will come to you, he'll smile at you and say he's been waiting for someone like you, you're the one." It can be sung by both men and women. And when the word Prince comes out, it makes you wonder if it's MJ's rival? The acoustic guitar is Earl Klugh, but the keyboard is John Barnes, and the Synclavier is Craig Huxley, so it seems like a work from the "Victory" session period. There is also an AI version of Michael's song here, but it's not that good. It's true that it feels like a guide demo because it's not serious. Motown was promoting Diana Ross, who discovered the Jackson 5, including Michael, who was 10 years old at the time. In fact, Diana immediately recognized Michael's talent and did everything she could to help him develop it. On the other hand, Michael is very grateful to Diana for her love, saying that he can never repay her for anything. Diana and Michael collaborated on the Quincy Jones-produced "Ease On Down The Road" from the Motown film "The Wizz," and Michael also contributed the song "Muscles." Then, in 1985, the two performed vocals with a number of other superstars (actually, the two of them were the best) on the "We Are The World" project. Around that time, Michael wrote a song with Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees, who dominated disco in the 70s, and provided it to Diana. That is her album title song "Eaten Alive" (released as a pre-release single on September 1, 1985). Michael delivers a love letter to Diana Ross with his sharp vocals. This time, there is a full remix of the song, a Raw Mix that cleverly blends multiple mixes, and a version with only Michael's vocals, but a different AI version of Michael's version is reproduced. However, this is so good that it really makes you think that only Michael's version was leaked. Unlike the Jacksons' "State of Shock," this song had a promotional video and was sure to be a big hit, but it was disappointing, ranking 77th in pop and 10th in R&B. The title is scary, "Being eaten alive," which is Michael's favorite horror, but if Michael had appeared in the video, it might have been a hit. It reminds me of the Jacksons' "Torture," which was a horror-themed song but didn't have Michael in it and ended up not being a big hit. Michael also wrote a handwritten message on the album "Eaten Alive" saying, "I'm happy to be able to work with you again, great man. I love you." However, in 1985, Diana Ross suddenly remarried to Norwegian shipping magnate Arne Naess (she apparently told Michael that she would never marry again). As mentioned above, "Dirty Diana" was recorded in the fall of 1985. Michael said that he was singing about groupies, not Diana Ross or Princess Diana, but is that really the case? The lyrics are, "I'll give you everything if you make me a star." Diana Ross was Berry Gordy's mistress, married to a wealthy man who made her rich, and had a wife and children. When you hear her singing about her dirty side, you can't help but suspect something. The first demo in 1984 was purely a sequel to the lyrics of "Billie Jean," but Michael, feeling betrayed by Diana's sudden remarriage, changed the lyrics. "Loving You" was recorded in July 1985 at Red Wing Studios in San Fernando during the early "BAD" sessions. Although Michael wrote and produced the song and the vocals were complete, it was shelved. It was boldly reworked and included as the third track on Michael's second and final album after his death, "Xscape." "It was a good song, but it was never seriously considered for the BAD album. It's one of many songs that were recorded and shelved." Matt Forger. This time, we have included the original version with different lyrics from "Xscape," as well as a fan-made remix with the concept of what would have happened if it had been released in the 80s. "Another Part Of Me" was recorded during the Victory sessions in 1984, and the brothers were keen to include it, but it was shelved as it was not yet complete. However, in July 1985, when Michael started working on the sci-fi short film Captain EO, he decided to use "Another Part Of Me". John Barnes played keyboards, but the song was composed solely by Michael Jackson. The version in the film is different from the one that was later included on Bad. This time, we have two songs: a wonderful reconstruction demo made from the sound sources used in the film, and a clever DJ remix of the sound sources in the film. And another song used in the film Captain EO, "We Are Here To Change The World". This was co-written with John Barnes and produced by Michael Jackson. It was recorded and completed in 1985. First, a demo snippet, then a longer version of the demo, and finally a full-length version secretly filmed at a seminar. All of these are genuine leaked sound sources. And then the studio version, its instrumental. Finally, there is a longer version created by a fan using audio from the film. 1. Jennifer Holiday - You're The One 4:41 2.
