In the 1950s, he studied abroad at the Berkley College of Music, where he formed friendships with Gary Burton and the British Graham Collier, and first started out as a professional in the United States. Afterwards, he joined a Korean group that had previously returned to England, and at the same time worked as an arranger/conductor for a concert band broadcast by the BBC, and in the late 1960s formed his own big band. This is a great album that even surpasses the famous live album "Just Ahead" released in 1972 at its peak, recorded live at NDR Studio 10 in Hamburg, Germany in 1973 on the highest quality stereo soundboard. is now in stock! ! ! He led seven of Britain's most talented performers, including Kenny Wheeler, Henry Lawther, Stan Saltzman, John Taylor, Ray Whalley, John Marshall, and Norma Winston, to perform from Gibbs' original ``Fanfare'' to McCrae's ``So.'' Long", Carla Bley's "Sing Me Softly of the Blues", Gary Burton's "Country Rose", and the last song "Enjoy This" by John Taylor and Norma Winston (at the time).・Day~Erobos'', the fantastic, deep sound with British undertones that attracted the attention of the legendary Gil Evans, had a great influence on the British jazz rock/prog rock scene that was still developing at the time.
