The history of Japanese Western music has carved out many great performances and legends. Among them, a live album that emits a special and unusual shine is now available as the world's first master. Who is the main character of this work, our METALLICA? This is an audience album that contains the first day of their first visit to Japan in 1986, "November 15th: Shibuya Public Hall" performance. The memorable first visit to Japan was also set immediately after Cliff Burton's death in an accident and the resumption of activities with Jason Newsted. This is a good opportunity, so let's organize the schedule from Cliff's last live show to the Japan performance. ・September 26, 1986: Stockholm (Cliff's final performance)《September 27th, Cliff passed away》《October 7th, Cliff's funeral》《October 28th, Jason joined》・November 8, 1986 Sun: Reseda (Jason's first performance) November 9, 1986: Anaheim (first visit to Japan) November 15, 1986: Shibuya Public Hall [this work] November 17, 1986: Aichi Labor Hall・November 18, 1986: Osaka Festival Hall ・November 19, 1986: Nakano Sun Plaza ・November 20, 1986: Nakano Sun Plaza In this way, their first visit to Japan was one and a half months after Cliff's death. . Since this work is the first day, it is the third live performance with Jason joining. It is a record that has just been restarted for the band, but it is also extremely special for the Japanese side. After all, METALLICA at that time was not just a young band. The leader of a new music called THRASH METAL that no one has ever experienced before. It was truly “Japan’s first thrash gig”. This work, which contains such a monumental live, is the world's first appearance of the master. This is a direct CD version of the original cassette received directly from the recording artist himself who was on site at the time. Until now, this is the world's first live album that has not been released anywhere and has never been heard by anyone. The sound is a real audience blowing out the hot air from the scene that was directly sucked in by the original cassette from the speakers. It's too vivid to be called "just like a sound board," yet the extremely thick musical tones run wild. Of course, you can feel the enthusiasm of the time, but what you hear is thrash metal that subverts, tramples, and crushes even the loudest cheers. It is famous that METALLICA at the time was a fierce roar, but while its power is fully transmitted, it is not a roaring sound that makes you search for a performance (never). The delicate twin harmonies, the youthful roar of James Headfield, the gritty bass of Jason, and the rushing beat of Lars Ulrich all hit you like a thick rough rope. At the time, no one in Japan knew how intense the "thrash sound" was, yet they were able to capture it with such a sound... What was recorded with such a sound was truly the night of the century. Even before the performance started, I was tingling with anticipation, anticipation, and tension that something was about to happen, and the mood was strange, as if a riot was about to break out. Even “Ecstasy Of Gold” is the first time, and the current sense of promise sounds completely different. And the deadly “Battery” cuts through it. A smoldering bonfire with gasoline...or rather, a venue that exploded as if nitro had been poured on it! This is METALLICA's first time in Asia, and the first thrash metal for Japanese people. Even by early METALLICA standards, the explosive and roaring sound was extremely brutal, and the audience's screams and roars collided head-on. From between the onslaught of riff after riff, and from behind the roar of the chorus, a small but thick wave of enthusiasm surges forward. And then, METALLICA hits back at the enthusiasm of the Japanese people... Their intense live performance moves forward at once, with no one even thinking that ``something's going on'' with each other. ``Something amazing happened today.'' It seems that Japanese people only realized this after the performance had ended. Shibuya Public Hall was completely overrun by METALLICA's number one brutal song, "Fight Fire With Fire," and there was a mixture of enthusiasm, screams, and stupefaction. ``Well, for now, all METALLICA performances for today have ended. Please proceed slowly towards the exit so as not to crowd each other...'', while the final announcement was played, ``I can't hear, please.'' The original master ends with a murmur of “Geez”. Although it is a very intense live album, this work also includes a bonus track. This is an interview from Japan that strongly emits the scent of those days. At first, we are talking about POISON, who was visiting Japan for the first time at the same time (it seems that they went to the dressing room, and Bret Michaels will be MCing about METALLICA in POISON's masterpiece "LIVE INN 1986"), but the story goes further with DEEP Go to PURPLE. Here, Lars takes over and talks endlessly about how great ``LIVE IN JAPAN'' is and how excited he is to be able to perform at the same Osaka Festival Hall. When the interviewer asked him, ``What do you think of Yngwie Malmsteen?'', he quipped, ``Yngwie Blackmore's Rising Penis (LOL)?'' and burst into laughter. The innocent admiration and silly dirty jokes reveal the true face of a young man who was still in his early 20s at the time. METALLICA's first Japanese, first Japanese slash. This is a masterpiece in which the leader recorded the moment of their first meeting. The Beatles in 1966, LED ZEPPELIN in 1971, IRON MAIDEN in 1980...and this work. A historical album that lets you fully enjoy the enthusiasm that only arises the moment new music arrives in Japan.
