METALLICA in the 1990s rose to become a symbol of the era with the astronomical hit of their monster "Black Album." A transcendental video that vividly revives the scene has been decided to be released. What is sealed in this work is “June 7, 1994 Allentown performance”. This is the super best audience shot. At our store, the live album “SHIT HITS THE SHEDS” is a standard show, but this work is a video work. It is also a multi-camera work that makes full use of two cameras. Before we look at the quality, let's first look at the show's position. The ``Black Album'' era was a monster tour period in which they conducted five world tours in three years, and it was said that ``It was like entering and graduating from a school where you performed live every day instead of studying''. “LIVE SHIT: BINGE & PURGE” includes the San Diego performance and Mexico City performance, but here we will organize the positional relationship of each from the overall impression. [Black Album released on August 12, 1991] *WHEREVER WE MAY ROAM Tour #1 (August 1991-July 1992: 162 performances) ← *Official San Diego *GUNS N' ROSES/METALLICA STADIUM Tour (1992 July-October: 25 performances/North America) *WHEREVER WE MAY ROAM Tour #2 (October-December 1992: 36 performances/Europe) *NOWHERE ELSE TO ROAM Tour (January-July 1993: 77 Performances) ← *Official Mexico City [“LIVE SHIT” released on November 23, 1993] *SHIT HITS THE SHEDS Tour (May-August 1994: 51 performances/North America) ←★Here this is the tour related to the “Black Album” The whole picture. If the San Diego video of “LIVE SHIT” is at the beginning of the tour and the Mexico City CD is at the middle, the Allentown performance of this work is the “SHIT HITS THE SHEDS Tour” at the end. This was the 6th concert. This work, in which you can witness such a show, is a multi-camera video of super spectacular views. Normally, multi-camera things have extremely different angles, but the two cameras used in this work both offer a spectacular view directly in front of the stage without any obstructions. The angles are very similar, only one is slightly to the left. You may be thinking, "So what's the point of multi-purpose?" But that's not the case. Although they are seated close together, each scene focuses on a different member, and each scene is captured with a powerful zoom. If I were to compare this to the feeling of being on set, it would be like looking at each member's close-up through binoculars and seeing the entire scene as seen with the naked eye. The umami of changing the field of view unique to multi-cameras and the experience typical of an audience are skillfully fused together. What's even more amazing is the super-excellent sound. As some of you may have already noticed, this is synchronized with the masterpiece “SHIT HITS THE SHEDS”. For those who have not experienced that masterpiece, this recording is a masterpiece that represents the “SHIT HITS THE SHEDS Tour” as the title suggests. It combines the power of a direct-connected sound board with the neatness of an FM broadcast, and it's a superb sound that is so far away from the audience that you can't help but think, "Didn't livemetalica.com exist in 1994?" It is a full show unique to 1994 that is depicted with such spectacular scenery and superb quality. Here, let's organize the set while comparing it with the official video of the familiar San Diego performance. Cliff Burton era (8 songs + α)・Bloodstained Iron Hammer: Seek & Destroy/Whiplash・Ride the Lightning: For Whom the Bell Tolls/Creeping Death/Fade to Blac・Metal Master: Master of Puppets/Welcome Home (Sanitarium)/Disposable Heroes (★)・Others: Kill/Ride Medley (★) Jason Newstead era (9 songs)・Metal Justice: Harvester of Sorrow/One・Black Album: Wherever I May Roam/The God That Failed (★) / Nothing Else Matters (★) / Sad But True / Enter Sandman・Cover: Breadfan (★) / So What! (★) *Note: Songs marked with “★” were not seen in the official San Diego video . ...and it looks like this. Even though it is said to be the “Black Album Era”, two and a half years have passed since the San Diego performance, and the set has changed. The start with “Breadfan” seems to be from 1994, and songs such as “Disposable Heroes” and “The God That Failed”, which were rarely played during the Cliff era, are also fresh. "Kill/Ride Medley" is also available to replace "Justice Medley". And the performance that spells out such a set is also dated 1994. After touring stadiums around the world, the ensemble they arrived at was the ultimate in dynamism. At the time, words like "loose" and "groove" were used, but each riff was played as if it were driven into the audience's liver, and the heaviness was not heavy, but heavy. Also, the appearance of the members is amazing. Only Jason already has short hair, but he still looks really cool with his metallic look (by the way, Kirk gradually starts to become fashionable (?) around the time he performs at Woodstock two months later). Super big, super heavy, super dynamic...but still heavy and metallic to the core. This is a superb video work that allows you to enjoy the “SHIT HITS THE SHEDS Tour” all to yourself from the special seats. It's multi-camera so you won't get tired of watching it, and the close viewing angles give you a great experience of being on site. This is like a miracle.
