Contains a demo track of the new work "MASTER OF PUPPETS" (official release: July 1986), which was recorded at a studio in San Francisco in 1985, about two months before the full-scale recording began in Copenhagen, Denmark. This is a collection of takes that are said to have been recorded on July 14th, and the credits are in line with that, but each track is different, including the sound texture, mix, freshness, and even pitch, so it was recorded at this time. It is presumed that this is a collection of representative takes from early demos for each song. Previously available takes of the same content had problems with generation and pitch, but this edition takes the best take with accurate pitch correction, and records a version that can be declared the best to date with a perfect sound image. I am. “Battery #1” seems to have been recorded in one shot in the studio, and the intro is missed twice, and the way Cliff’s strong bass resonates loudly in the studio each time is amazing. This is an instrumental version with the vocals off, and although the details, including the drums, are quite rough, the gist of the song is almost complete. Accurately correct high pitch. “Battery #2” is the version with vocals. This one has the low pitch accurately adjusted. The very straight and solid sound image and performance are the best. “Disposable Heroes #1”, like “Battery #1”, stumbles twice in the intro and interludes in the third. The overlapping guitar riffs are very powerful, but the overall impression is straightforward. This is also an instrumental version, and it is a spectacular take that lasts for 9 minutes. “Disposable Heroes #2” includes vocals. The lyrics are completely different from the final song. This one seems to have a slight problem with tape deterioration compared to other takes, but the high frequencies such as cymbals are also clearly visible, so I think this is due to the tape condition rather than the generation. The low pitch has been accurately corrected. “Master Of Puppets” is an instrumental number without vocals. Recording time: 8 minutes 40 seconds. This is an early take that gives a straighter and simpler impression than the official final. All of the takes, including the breaks, are still in development, but like the other takes, the gist of the song is almost complete, and it can be said to be the most interesting take to listen to throughout, ``a take full of the fun that only demos can have.'' The low pitch has also been accurately corrected. “Welcome Home/Orion #1” is an instrumental take with a bold, rich sound mix and a direct feel. Welcome Home ends in 5 minutes and 30 seconds, and you can enjoy a very attractive initial arrangement in which Orion is played like a long coda for about 4 minutes as a medley. Not only this song, but Kirk's solo play is completely different from the final, so that part is also interesting to listen to. You can see that the general arrangement of the guitar twin leads and the bass in the second half is almost complete at this stage. The ending feels like Welcome Home. “Welcome Home/Orion #2” includes vocals. The lyrics are completely different, and the version doesn't even have the chorus "Sanitarium". Even though the worldview of the lyrics is not completely complete at this stage, you can see that the gist of the song is complete. Here, the Orion part starts at 4 minutes 40 seconds. The guitar, drums, and bass are clearer than on "Take #1," and the harmonies are beautiful and dramatic, making it a great listen. The low pitch of this take has been accurately corrected. From the 8th track onwards, there are 5 demo takes that are believed to have been recorded around the same time. “Battery #3” is an instrumental, but it is a different take from “Battery #1”. This also has a very vivid texture. “Welcome Home #1” is also an instrumental, and this one is cut out before it connects to Orion. "Welcome Home #2" is a short version of 3 minutes 40 seconds with songs. “Disposable Heroes #3” is an instrumental version and has better sound quality than “#1” and “#2”. However, it will be cut out at around 5 minutes and 40 seconds. The last song is an independent take of “Orion” that is about 3 minutes long. Although there are some issues with the tape condition, the freshness of the sound itself is good and can be heard clearly. Like "#1" and "#2", the ending is not recorded and fades in the middle. In addition, the pitch of the last 4 tracks (Outtakes) was low, but has been adjusted correctly. Although the quality of the sound varies in this way, it is a must-listen sound source that fans cannot avoid. This is a definitive collection of takes that restores a group of early demo tracks from ``Master Of Puppets,'' one of the masterpieces representing 1980s heavy metal, and allows you to listen to it in its best condition. This is a must-have and must-listen for fans. (Total recording time: 78 minutes) Studio Demos & Rehearsals recorded in San Francisco July 1985 1. Battery #1 2. Battery #2 3. Disposable Heroes #1 4.
