METALLICA, the champions of the 90s who had Jason Newstead and ruled the world. Introducing a professional shot work that allows you to enjoy the final stage of such an era. This work was filmed at the “Irvine performance on June 19, 1999.” This is a multi-camera professional shot from when he appeared at the festival "KROQ WEENIE ROAST" sponsored by KROQ-FM, a modern rock radio station in Los Angeles. Speaking of the end of the 90's, there were many planned projects such as cover albums and unplugged. 1999 also saw the production and release of "S&M". First of all, let’s look back at the schedule at that time and check the show’s position. 1999・April 11th-14th: North America #1 (3 shows)・April 21st + 22nd: S&M #1 (2 shows) “Garage Remains the Same Tour”・April 30th-May 14th : South America (8 performances), May 21st - June 13th: Europe (15 performances), June 19th: KROQ WEENIE ROAST 1999 appearance ←★Coco★, June 25th - July 20th: Europe ( 16 performances) ・July 24th: WOODSTOCK '99 performance ・November 19th + 23rd: S&M #2 (3 performances) [“S&M” released on November 23rd] “M2K Mini Tour” ・December 28th-31st Sun: North America #2 (3 performances) 2000, January 1-10: North America #3 (7 performances), June 3-August 9: North America #4 (22 performances) This is 1999/2000 METALLICA of the year. After this, relationships deteriorated and James became addicted to alcohol, leading to Jason leaving the group. The era of "the four most successful people" has come to an end. 1999 is also remembered as the year of "S&M," but most performances were in the normal style. The main event in particular was the summer European tour. However, in between, they flew to North America and returned to perform at two festivals. These were “KROQ WEENIE ROAST” of this work and “WOODSTOCK ‘99” which celebrated its 30th anniversary. These two shows were both broadcast on TV and professional shots became standard. At our store, the pinnacle master of “WOODSTOCK 1999” “WOODSTOCK '99: Digital Master Edition” reigns as a standard, but this work is the pinnacle version of “KROQ WEENIE ROAST”. The quality is truly amazing. Unlike "WOODSTOCK '99: Digital Master Edition", it is an air check at the time, so it has an analog feel, but the master freshness is tremendous. Perhaps because the recorded original master was used, there are almost no dubbing marks, not to mention white line noise, and no distortion or distortion. And what is striking is the reality that seems to be a live broadcast. The ``sound that is left out'' without the need to refine it later is intensely raw, and even the somewhat rough camera work creates a strange and powerful atmosphere. If you recall, the late 1990s was a time when subculture flourished to the point that it ate away at the main culture, and you can witness METALLICA coated with that strange feeling (it's a little dusty here and there, but this is Also a video production!?). METALLICA's show, which was the heaviest and richest in history, is depicted with such "90s-only quality". Maybe it's because of the festival, but the time is about 1 hour, but the set from that time is condensed into it. Let's organize the contents here.・RIDE THE LIGHTNING: For Whom the Bell Tolls/Creeping Death・MASTER OF PUPPETS: Master of Puppets/Battery・...AND JUSTICE FOR ALL: One・BLACK ALBUM: Sad but True/Nothing Else Matters/ Enter Sandman・LOAD/ RELOAD: Fuel/King Nothing・Cover: So What/Last Caress/Die, Die My Darling...and so it goes like this. Although "KILL 'EM ALL" is omitted, the set is selected evenly from each album, and it feels like a compressed version of "WOODSTOCK '99." “Last Caress” is a number that was not played even in “WOODSTOCK 1999”. The performance is even more intense than such a set. As you can see from the schedule above, the schedule of returning to Europe after just one performance is obviously unreasonable, but the fact that they even went through that process of appearing is full of spirit. And because it's such a short time, that spirit runs through the show until the end. It is now said that ``James' singing voice was at its peak in the late 90's,'' and you can enjoy his gorgeous and emotional singing to the fullest. That said, it was still a bit lonely for about an hour. Therefore, this work includes two bonus shots of professional TV appearances from the 1990s. One is the live promo for "Hero Of The Day" filmed in Spain in 1996, and the other is "The "Unforgiven II". In particular, “The Unforgiven II” has only been played six times so far, and the take recorded in this work is the world premiere and the only live performance in Jason's era. The best master is extremely valuable. METALLICA from the late 1990s still has mixed reviews, perhaps because of its "LOAD" and "RELOAD" images. However, the band's potential, which they had achieved through repeated growth, was definitely at its peak. This is a piece where you can enjoy a majestic show full of mellow performances and singing voices with multi-camera professional shots. Multi-camera pro shot of "June 19, 1999 KROQ WEENIE ROAST". Even though it was an air check at the time, the master was extremely fresh, with almost no dubbing marks, white line noise, or any distortion or distortion. In addition to the main story, two bonus TV pro shots are included, one of which is "The Unforgiven II" from the "December 8, 1997 Billboard Music Awards." You can enjoy the extremely rare footage that was only played once during Jason's era with the best master. Live at Irvine Meadows Amphitheater, Irvine, CA, USA 19th June 1999 PRO-SHOT 1. So What 2.
