Congratulations! 3rd place in the US!! MEGADETH's new album "DYSTOPIA" is very popular among people, and it also ranks 3rd on the US Billboard chart. The previous highest ranking was 2nd place of "COUNTDOWN TO EXTINCTION", but it has become a big hit that comes close to that. Of course, since we are in the midst of the Great CD Recession, the number of copies will not be far behind ``COUNTDOWN TO EXTINCTION'', but it is still ``third from the top'' among the countless works. Although he has been a regular in the top 10 for the past 10 years, I never expected that he would be entering his "second golden age"... The introduction has become longer. This work is MEGADETH's latest live album. This is the audience album of “March 21, 2016 Boston Performance”. Speaking of “DYSTOPIA WORLD TOUR”, we have reported on the 2015 Japan tour “OSAKA 2015 (Shades 601)” and the UK tour “BIRMINGHAM 2015 (Shades 613)”, but those are “DYSTOPIA”. Live before release. They hardly played any new songs, and it was no more than the introduction of Kiko Loureiro. On the other hand, this work is a tour performance following the huge success of "DYSTOPIA". This is truly a piece filled with passionate performances from the “second golden age”!! In fact, this work is full of new songs from “DYSTOPIA”. In addition to "Fatal Illusion," which was heard on "BIRMINGHAM 2015," there are five new songs, including "The Threat Is Real," "Post American World," "Poisonous Shadows," and "Dystopia." Together with the five songs of the masterpiece “RUST IN PEACE”, they are the two pillars of the set (to be precise, the ratio of “new songs 5: RIP 5: other 7”). There are no songs from “THE WORLD NEEDS A HERO” to “SUPER COLLIDER”, so it is not the all-time best, but it also means “only the golden era + new songs”. It is a show that strongly conveys how “DYSTOPIA” is a masterpiece of the new era. Of course, the confidence backed up by their big hit shows not only in their set but also in their performance. The down-tuning to Dave Mustaine's voice is different from before, but the rushing power of its heavy tank mode is ferocious. Mustaine is the type of person who thrives on praise (?), so his guitar is in top condition when he gets into it. The singing voice, which was initially a bit thin when I lowered the tuning, has now taken on a strange, growling, and powerful voice. A group of new songs that are on par with the golden classics of the 80's and 90's that have been reborn... This tension, this momentum, this tension. This is truly the "second golden age." What adds to the sense of fulfillment is the enthusiastic cheers. I forgot to mention something important, but the sound of this work is an exquisite audience sound. The bass is powerful, and the riff is sharp. It is a superb product that resonates clearly and sharply in your ears as if it were an FM sound source. At the same time, there was plenty of enthusiasm from the large audience. They don't disturb the performance at all (probably everyone shakes their heads during the song: haha), but the loud applause that erupts between songs clearly includes a new generation of fans, perhaps from the ``COUNTDOWN TO EXTINCTION'' era. Like. It's the kind of enthusiasm that makes you realize, "It's true that we're ranked 3rd in the U.S." To be honest, we have received some sound sources from the tour that resumed in mid-February, but there were not many recordings of sufficient quality to deliver. Because it was such an intense show, it was very nerve-wracking. That dilemma will finally come to an end with this work... MEGADETH has welcomed new members with sufficient ability and reputation, Kiko Loureiro of ANGRA and Chris Adler of LAMB OF GOD. Let's be honest. At first, I thought, ``I don't need the help of my famous juniors...''. But Mustaine made the right decision. More than 30 years after their debut, the new MEGADETH has created a new masterpiece, "DYSTOPIA", and an intense live performance. A superb live album that fully conveys the true value of the "second golden age" that is currently shining brightly. With such dazzling metal, will you be able to hold out until the next visit to Japan, who knows when? Live at House of Blues, Boston, MA. USA 21st March 2016 TRULY PERFECT SOUND Disc 1(53:19) 1.
