Marty Friedman, the driving force behind the golden age of MEGADETH. His last pro shot is now available in the expanded version of the leaked master. The last professional shot was taken at the “December 27, 1999 Denver performance.” In the late 90's, MEGADETH frequently changed members during tours, and even though they came to Japan twice for one album, the members changed each time. It's also difficult to know when Marty will leave the group, so let's check the schedule at the time. [1999] - June 11th - July 31st: Warm-up (6 performances) - August 8th: Japan #1 (1 performance) - August 10th - September 2nd: North America #1 (5 performances) Performances)《August 31st: "RISK" released》 ・September 8th - October 1st: Europe (18 performances) ・October 8th - December 29th: North America #2 (57 performances) ←★Here ★[2000]・January 6th-14th: North America #3a (8 performances)《Marty Friedman leaves》・January 15th-21st: North America #3b (6 performances)・March 1st-11 Sun: Korea/Japan #2 (8 performances) May 13th-December 31st: North America #5 (56 performances) Although some parts have been compressed, this is an overview of “RISK TOUR 1999-2000”. Marty announced his withdrawal from the band midway through "North America #2." I left MEGADETH after the show on January 14, 2000. The Denver performance of this work is the 55th concert of “North America #2”. This show has long been known for its professional shots, and it is a masterpiece video that was also included in the bonus DVD of the official best album "GREATEST HITS: BACK TO THE START". However, the official version was only an excerpt version of 7 songs, but in recent years, a long master of 15 songs that is more than twice as long has been leaked. Unfortunately, the encores "Paranoid" and "Anarchy In The UK" are not included, so it is not a complete version, but it is a masterpiece that allows you to enjoy the valuable show for about 80 minutes. Moreover, this work is not only about length. The quality is also great. Although it is a video master that is different from the official product, it is still digitized directly from the 1st generation, and there are no dubbing marks or deterioration over time. And the visual beauty depicted with that quality is truly an official work. Best of all is the perfect camera work. The songs and highlights are well understood, and the result is a dynamic production of the show. The sound mix may have been a little rough, which may have prevented it from becoming an official product, but many of the long professional shots from this period were of South American quality, and that's why the masterpiece WOODSTOCK '99: DIGITAL The quality is second only to “MASTER EDITION”. The show depicted with its visual beauty is dazzling with Marty, who became the keystone of the golden age. Perhaps he had already announced that he was leaving the group, and although he had a timid look on his face, he was playing furiously... or should I say, he was even hotter than usual. While swinging her short hairstyle and walking around the stage, she belted out her unique lyrical phrases with tremendous force, stirring up the audience. The main character of the band has always been Dave Mustaine throughout its long history, but Marty has not lost as far as this video is concerned. It's so featured that it wouldn't be surprising if someone who didn't know anything about it saw it and thought it was a Mustaine & Marty band. And the important show is the best of the Marty era. Of course, we will also play the special “In My Darkest Hour” and “Peace Sells,” but everything else is filled with the repertoire from the Marty era. The official version, which was cut in large quantities, was full of standard songs and I couldn't really understand the show's individuality, but this one includes a large number of famous songs from the Marty era. Just to list, "Reckoning Day," "Breadline," "She-Wolf," "A Tout Le Monde," "Almost Honest," "Use The Man," "Crush 'Em," "Trust"...and "YOUTHANASIA" and "CRYPTIC WRITINGS." It contains plenty of iconic songs from ``RISK.'' I'm especially happy with "Breadline." This is a rare song only available on this tour and cannot be seen on "WOODSTOCK '99". However, more than that, the content is amazing, the melody is familiar but cool, and Marty's solo is full of soaring exhilaration. ``RISK'' has mixed reviews at best, but its ``MEGADETH-like pop'' style was certainly appealing. The masterpiece is "Breadline". If there had been more masterpieces of this level, history might have been different... And the twin harmony in “She-Wolf.” It has continued to be a popular and representative song ever since, but this thrilling battle of tears and elation could only have been created by the two originators. Marty Friedman, the guitar hero who supported MEGADETH in the 90s and led them into their golden age. What did he bring to the table and what did he accomplish? This is a masterpiece that fully explains this with the finest professional shots. An expanded version of the official pro shot. Live at Fillmore Auditorium, Denver, CO.
