The 2CD "DEFINITIVE BUENOS AIRES 1995+1997" is an absolute edition that complements the official and completes the collection of the "Golden Quartet". It is a superb stereo soundboard album. However, by chance, the same show was also left in a pro shot. This work contains the same Buenos Aires performances as the 2CD, "September 9, 1995" and "December 13, 1997". It is a multi-camera pro shot that recorded the TV program that was broadcast locally at that time. You may think, "There is a pro shot, but only the audio is pressed?", but in fact, the TV broadcast is incomplete. It is not a "vertex record" that should be preserved forever. Anyway, let's introduce it in detail. First of all, the main one is "December 13, 1997" of the "CRYPTIC WRITING TOUR" edition. Of the 15 songs in the full set, 9 songs can be witnessed in multi-camera pro shots. The quality is excellent. The quality is very beautiful, and it is on a different level from the noise-covered masters that are common in so-called "South American things from the 90s". Apart from being a little dark, it is at a level that can be used for official archives. Although the quality of the sound is not as good as the 2CD, the recording itself seems to be the same, and it is a sound board directly connected to the brain. When I first listened to the 2CD, I could only think of it as a "leaked sound board!?" because it was so vivid, but it was the same on the TV broadcast. It was a real live mix unique to South America that was exposed without treatment. Also, if you listen carefully, you will hear a momentary noise of "beep" only once at the beginning of the song "A Tout Le Monde", but there are several places where this noise is included in the full sound boards currently on the market. Until now, it was thought that noise was commonplace in this live performance, but the 2CD is an astonishing master that does not even have that. Anyway, the wonderfulness of the "golden quartet" depicted with beautiful multi- and direct-connected sound is amazing. Marty Friedman plays a "real solo" while shaking his perm and going wild, and Nick Menza stands up and bangs on a mechanical drum kit. These four will never be together again... Dave Mustaine is not the type to be called a "master singer", but his singing voice is one of a kind. He sings aggressive songs cynically, and in "A Tout Le Monde" he delicately uses different vocal expressions. This mysterious singing voice seems sulky yet sincere. Its charm is more beautiful than ever. I think that the peak of his career as a vocalist was from 1997 to 1999. Following those nine songs, three bonus songs from the "September 9, 1995" performance, "Hangar 18", "Wake Up Dead", and "Reckoning Day", are also included. It is often confused with the 1997 performance because it is the same venue and the same members (and the quality is similar), but of course it is a different performance. Mustaine, who was dressed in black in 1997, is playing in a white shirt here. Speaking of the "Golden Quartet" live, the only official release is a shortened version of the London performance on "WACHEST". For a big name second only to METALLICA, it's a sad situation. This work is also an incomplete version, but it is a great professional shot that will clear up some of that regret.
