This footage was recorded on a television broadcast on November 4, 1991 in Frankfurt, prior to "UNPLUGGED LIVE". It is a famous representative video from the video era, but this work is the highest peak version that distinguishes itself from the video era. In fact, it has been familiar as "ACOUSTIC EVENING IN FRANKFURT" for some time, but this time, in conjunction with the highest peak DVD ever made of official footage, the audio of this work has also been remastered. It has been finished as the ultimate version that updates the summit. The show depicted with that quality is a world of beauty that is not inferior to "UNPLUGGED LIVE". At the time, the theme of the program was the promotion of the new work, partly because it was just before the release of McAULEY SCHENKER GROUP's "M.S.G.". Therefore, the set was all McSG, and the song selection and song order were completely identical to the EP "NIGHTMARE: THE ACOUSTIC M.S.G.". This is a perfect reproduction of the masterpiece EP, which can be enjoyed as both a live performance version and a video version (strictly speaking, this is the EP, a studio reproduction of this work). The splendid guitar obbligato is also wonderful, but what is particularly surprising is Robin McAuley's vocals. Since there is no tour record in 1991, this work is probably the premiere, but there is no sense of unnaturalness or unfamiliarity at all. From his expression, it is as if he is singing passionately, breathing life into the song he has been singing for many years. It is still understandable that the guitar is perfect because of the simple acoustic guitar arrangement, but the vocals are rather more difficult than electric. Despite this, the singing voice is perfect (plus α) for the premiere... At the time, it was said that "Robin is surprisingly good," but the more you know the circumstances, the more amazing the casualness is. It is a video that highlights Robin's professionalism. In the early 90s, everyone had the image of doing unplugged, but Michael never jumped on the boom. The same can be said for "UNPLUGGED LIVE", but at the time this film was shot, only Paul McCartney had commercialized "MTV UNPLUGGED", and Michael was earlier than Eric Clapton and NIRVANA, let alone KISS. That's why this film has no ulterior motives for sales. At this point, it may have been a "new release promotional treat". However, it was because that tone resonated deeply with Michael himself that he made an EP, left official live footage, and even dismantled McSG and went solo. The performance in this film is just the beginning. A god who simply picked up an acoustic guitar with pure impulse and pursued a simple sound. A great pro shot of the backside, with that initial impulse overflowing from his fingertips. Live at Music Hall, Frankfurt, Germany 4th November 1991 PRO-SHOT (35:28) 1. Introduction 2. Anytime 3.
