Introducing the "Accident" album with the best sound. The McAULEY SCHENKER GROUP is a valuable product with few records. Although this work has one of the highest quality sounds among them, it is a document album that suffers from a unique accident. I'm more interested in the details of the accident, but let's start with the basics. This work was recorded in the audience album of “May 13, 1988 Denver Performance”. This is a live show about 3 months after the Japan performance. Perhaps because he rejoined Robin at MICHAEL SCHENKER FES, this master recently appeared, and the sound is exquisite. It may not be as good as the masterpiece "BUDOKAN 1988 1ST NIGHT" released at the same time this week, but the sound that pops out boldly and clearly has a direct feel. There's an audience-like feel to the passionate atmosphere of the venue and the bass drum, but the guitars and vocals that reverberate super clearly are sound board quality...or should I say, ``The line recording of the guitar and vocals, the microphone recording of the rhythm section, and the audience noise.'' It's a sound that sounds like it's covered with something. The live performance depicted with such quality is full of both passionate performances that overturn McAULEY SCHENKER GROUP's underestimation, and accidents that will make you laugh. The accident was a problem with the equipment, and the power at the venue suddenly went out. From the start of the show, they were able to sing "Armed And Ready" and "Cry For The Nation," but as the show progressed, a stiff noise started coming into the PA, and the new song "Love Is Not A Game" in the middle of the show started. It cuts easily. Of course, the performance stopped there. Amidst the commotion caused by the sudden accident, Robin manages to recover and connects the scene with his MC. I regained my composure and finished playing “Love Is Not A Game,” but what was even worse was “Rock Bottom” by the last song. By then, the show had recovered, and although Schenker's signature guitar solo made it very exciting, it fell apart again at the very end. The ending is a dramatic power chord that resonates with a lonely sound... What an incredibly disappointing feeling. This work ends in a mood that is as solid as a drifter, but is hard to laugh at. However, the reason why that scene is so cold is because the main live performance itself is strangely hot. Just like in his heyday, Michael's Gibson V has a sweet and sad tone, and Robin's Irish voice is husky yet exalts sadness. The song is played in a different dimension from the album ``PERFECT TIMING'', and you can hear the full flavor of the natural singing voice. Furthermore, it is unique to this time of year! That person is Bakatech guitarist Mitch Perry. In terms of M.S.G., it is nothing more than a side guitar whose name is often forgotten, but its skill is more than just a side guitar. Even on the TALAS live album, you can hear his unusually skillful tapping and fast, accurate play, but in this work, you can hear the rare intertwining of Michael's lyricism and stupid technique. You can taste the stupidity in Mitch's guitar solo in the latter half of the show, but what you should listen to is the medley arrangement of the new songs "Get Out" and "Gimme Your Love." These two songs are also the songs that Mitch took the lead on the album “PERFECT TIMING”, and since they are connected, it is clearly “for Mitch”. Later, in "Save Yourself", Michael himself awakens to high-tech phrases, but here "crying" and "tapping" are neatly separated, and both collide melodically. I'm just speculating, but maybe Michael at the time was conscious of his older brother Rudolph's SCORPIONS. He incorporates pop melodies even by suppressing his own guitar, writes ballads, and searches for a twin with technical guitar. The rhythm section of Rocky Newton and Bodo Shokhov also became more solid and simple as the tour progressed. What was going through Michael's mind at the time, as he witnessed his older brother achieving unprecedented success and rising to the forefront of the rock scene? What was the music he was aiming for? It's one piece. This is a gem that allows you to enjoy the already precious live album of McAULEY SCHENKER GROUP, and even more valuable troubles. What's more, you can clearly enjoy the beauty of the "twin lead M.S.G." that fights Bakatech. Live at Bangles, Denver, Colorado, USA 13th May 1988 PERFECT SOUND (79:47) 1. Intro 2. Armed And Ready 3.
