This is a live recording by Mark Egan's trio. Although his name is unfamiliar to rock fans, he was the first bassist of the Pat Metheny Group. The drummer is Dan Gottlieb, who also came from the Pat Metheny Group. Both of them were in the group at the same time, so this is a trio made up of the first rhythm section of the Pat Metheny Group. The lead guitarist is John Abercrombie. The appeal is that Abercrombie plays in the rhythm section of the Metheny Group. Incidentally, this trio released the studio album "AS WE SPEAK" in the same year, so this live recording is like a live version of that album. Two concert recordings are recorded as a coupling, and both have official class high sound quality. The output levels of both sources have been remastered to be unified for coupling recording.
