This highly anticipated recording from the July 5, 2025, Chantilly, France, Jazz Festival, also available online, has been remastered in 24-bit for a clearer, more natural sound. While there has been no word on a new album since the 2018 release of Alba's "Laid Black," the band continues to actively perform live. This year, they released "Via Dolorosa," a collaboration with Fred Hammond and Christian Dentry. It's also available on Spotify and Apple Music. This July live performance features the same lineup as last year's Japan tour, with Russell Gunn's trumpet, who replaced Marquis Hill, a must-listen. The eloquent tone of saxophonist Donald Hayes, who previously performed with Beyoncé, is also a must-listen. Fans will also enjoy the recording of "Run for Cover," a tribute to Sanborn, and "Mr. Pastorius," a song that was unfortunately not performed during the Japan tour.
