Bernie Marsden, Mickey Moody, and Neil Murray were the source of blues in the old WHITESNAKE. The release of the superb rare pro shot of the project "M3 (named after the initials of the three members)", in which the three of them play WHITESNAKE's famous songs, has been decided. Speaking of the good old WHITESNAKE revival project, I'm sure you've heard of names like THE SNAKES and THE COMPANY OF SNAKES. Although these bands have different names, the concept is the same. It was also a series of bands that changed their names while welcoming various famous singers. This is a good opportunity, so let's organize the professional records and singer changes here. [THE SNAKES (1998-1999)] ● Studio album "ONCE BITTEN (1998)" ● Live album "LIVE IN EUROPE (1998)" Vo: Jorn Lande [THE COMPANY OF SNAKES (1999-2002)] ● Live DVD "LIVE AT ABBEY ROAD (2000)" Vo: Robert Hart ● Live album "HERE THEY GO AGAIN (2001)" ● Studio album "BURST THE BUBBLE (2002)" Vo: Stefan Berggren (Note: Gary Barden was also in the band) [M3 (2003-2006)] ● Live album "CLASSIC SNAKE LIVE (2003)" Vo: Tony Martin ● Live DVD "ROUGH AN' READY (2004) Vo: Stefan Berggren & Doogie White ● This work (2005) Vo: Stefan Berggren ... and so they were active for about nine years. The above are almost all official works, but the only exception is this work. This is a multi-camera pro shot of the last band "M3"'s "Lorsch performance (Germany) on January 26, 2005", which was the later period. The first unofficial pro shot was unearthed, but its quality is close to the official product. It seems to have been recorded on Germany's Local TV, but rather than being for television, it feels like a leak that was just recorded. There were a lot of cameras for a venue that was small and narrow, less than a club, and the close-ups were so close that not only the expressions but also the faces could not fit on the screen, and the hands were so close that they were sticking out. It was probably for showcase material, but it is a visual beauty that combines the handmade feel of a home video with the high quality of a professional shot. The blues rock depicted with that quality is... already superb! It's a short pro shot of only 5 songs and about 40 minutes, but the contents are very rich. Anyway, it exudes a deep and rich blues. As mentioned above, it's a pretty rough and somewhat cheap production, but it exudes a depth like 50's blues. Rock bands tend to make blues sound thick and gorgeous, but it's more like blues if you expose the "raw" rather. It's like the feeling of the crowd has been removed from the historic masterpiece of Chicago blues "AND THIS IS MAXWELL STREET" ... anyway, it's very real. Even including the original, I can't think of a sound that makes you feel the blues color that flows at the base of WHITESNAKE songs so strongly. The show itself is also really wonderful. First of all, singer Stefan Berggren. The singer who was most similar to Coverdale in the past was Jorn Lande, and the famous ones are Doogie White and Tony Martin. However, the best singer is definitely Stefan. He is also in the same lineage as Coverdale, but he has no "impersonation" and is extremely good. You don't have to worry about how similar he is, and yet you can listen to plenty of great songs with his deep voice that feels natural (by the way, in terms of singing ability and blackness, former BAD COMPANY member Robert Hart is the best, but unfortunately he didn't seem to be very familiar with WHITESNAKE numbers). And although it was only five songs, the set was full of delicious songs. In particular, the three songs "Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City", "Crying In The Rain", and "Take Me With You" are too precious. "Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City" and "Crying In The Rain" were also in the official video "ROUGH AN' READY", but the former was a duet between Stefan and Dougie, and the latter was sung by Dougie. To be honest, Dougie and the WHITESNAKE numbers were not compatible, and the blues color was completely lost and it became a hard rock of Moro. However, in this work, it is Stefan all over. "Crying In The Rain" drips blues that surpass even the original Coverdale, and "Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City" also closes in on Bobby Bland's original. Furthermore, the last "Take Me With You" is a rare number that could not be heard even in "HERE THEY GO AGAIN" and "ROUGH AN' READY", and it makes the sound far more "white snake-like" than 21st century WHITESNAKE. Even if they don't write new songs or release new works, it's a CLASSIC SNAKE reprint project that I wanted to continue forever. This is one that can be said to be its "semi-official". Why is "Stefan the best" said among the many famous singers? A masterpiece pro shot that tells the reason more eloquently than a thousand words. Bernie & Mickey, the fountainhead of blues in the old WHITESNAKE, inherited the "real flavor". Live In Lorsch, Germany 26th January 2005 PRO-SHOT (40:06) 1. Ready An' Willing 2.
